Stayed there to run the Banff 1/2 marathon. Great location, beautiful cozy property and excellent breakfast.

Great hotel in downtown Banff.

Wonderful hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good. Nice location.

Rooms were nice and a fun rustic vibe. Complimentary breakfast was a great perk. The location was so nice for getting to Banff stores and restaurants without worrying about crowds and parking.

2.5 stars for our four-night stay in the summer. Overall, this place tries to punch above its weight, but would be better if it decided to be realistic about what it has. First the bad and then the good:
Bad:
Room smelled like a pool. There was a “tinging” sound coming from the ducting in the room; so very annoying to me (but not my wife). We stayed four nights (in order to explore the parks in the area in June), and for a 4-night stay they put us next to the ice machine which sits in the hallway (rather than its own nook, like nicer places). The room door has a 3+ inch gap above the carpet, so you hear everything down the hallways (and loud ice machine), and you get the hall light coming in that gap 24/7. The carpet was a bit dirty, as it was that short plastic scrubby thing made to deal with winter ski environment most of the year. Since this was our 3rd stop on a long trip, we were ready to use their laundry room. It required eight $1 coins; been a few years since I had any actual coins or cash on me. So, hunt for ATM, change, etc. The dryers did not do the job in one cycle.
Good:
Location in the heart of Banff. Aesthetically pleasing building, lobby and sitting area. Their lodge-log aesthetic was well cleaned. Staff at front desk was very helpful, and could only work with what the property owners have. “Free” hotel breakfast had different items each of our four days; and quality was what you would expect in most places when it is offered to all guests.

Great time.

Perfectly located in the heart of downtown Banff!!! Everything was easy to get to by walking. The room was clean and comfortable. The rest of the hotel was very clean and the breakfast was fantastic. The staff was very helpful.
