Lovely house in the heart of the village Baie-St-Paul
We stayed here three nights and were very pleased with our front room on the ground floor of the main house. (There is an additional building in back with several apartments.) Everything was clean and in good repair. The (shared) kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and utensils—so you can really cook—and there is an adjacent common room with a television. The house is a lovely example of traditional Quebecois architecture, with a wraparound porch, lofty ceilings, wood stove, etc. The village's center, with restaurants, shops, and the tourist bureau, is only a five-minute walk away, and it's just 10-15 minutes on foot to the beach and some short wooded trails. A great base for exploring the region—a wonderful taste of Quebec. I'd happily stay here again.

Perfect place to stay in Baie-St-Paul!
Spot on! I chose this b&b when arranging for a scenic train ride on the Charlevoix train between Baie-St-Paul and La Malbaie. This b&b is just down the street from the train station and has great private parking. I had a lovely queen room with an suite bathroom, all very well done, and very comfortable. I ate an excellent breakfast on the porch, with very relaxing view of the garden. The hosts were so gracious and kind, including care and storage of my bicycle.

Best auberge in Charlevoix
This is THE place that I stay at when I visit Charlevoix. It is charming, central...close to the walking street in little Baie St Paul, a one minute walk from Desgagnés art gallery...the best in Charlevoix. It is quiet, nicely decorated according to themes and they serve a nutritious breakfast on their lovely verandah overlooking the garden full of birds or inside in their turn of the 20th century kitchen.
I drive from Montreal (3 1/2 hours) and have stayed here at least half a dozen times. This is the only place I will stay at. Baie St Paul is the real starting off point of the beautiful Charlevoix area. From the town of Baie St Paul my guests and I drive up through Charlevoix stopping in all the villages, returning in the evening. The next day we go inland to see and photograph the dramatic Charlevoix Biosphere reserve, again returning to the Auberge aux petits oiseaux at the end of the day. Restaurants are a stone's throw away.
I highy recommend the Auberge aux petits oiseaux.

Big disappointment
This property is for sale and it showed! The owners were not interested in making our visit memorable. The whole atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming.
The rooms were small but clean. There was no TV in the rooms and the one in the lounge area was an antique! The lounge area was closed to guests late in the evening. Breakfasts were OK but served in a non friendly atmosphere.
The final inconvenience was, on checking out to be advised that they didn't accept credit or debit cards! We were forced to drive to the nearest bank to obtain cash. Is there another hotel/B&B that does that??

Étape au calme dans le Charlevoix
Appartement grand et bien équipé. Parfait quand on s’arrête plusieurs jours dans le Charlevoix !
Pas accueil physique, tout est en autonomie malheureusement. Dommage pour le contact humain.
Les appartements situés dans le bâtiment à l’arrière sont calmes mais leur luminosité est quand même faible, autant avec la lumière naturelle en journée qu’avec les lampes le soir.
Globalement je recommande quand même
