An original guesthouse and Thomas has become a friend...

After 2 months of travel, here we are in Kompong Cham following a hectic bus trip.
Thomas helped us all the way because of a driver who didn't want to go through this town!
A great pleasure to find a Cambodian speaking TB French, immediately felt like someone who loves those who come to him.
For every detail or question he provides the solution...
Old $ notes that no one accepted and he takes me to change them at his bank!
A guesthouse where plant pots and flowers are his passion! They are everywhere, on 3 or 4 levels of a garden with architecture created by Thomas! Shade and freshness...
Everywhere is clean, bright and the rooms are well equipped, a beautiful bathroom, good bedding, air conditioning if you want it and everything works perfectly! Rare !
Breakfast possible on site or opposite...
A peaceful location in a hamlet 2 km along the Mekong.
The authenticity of the banks of the Mekong, the Khmer authenticity with a market as we like them, surrounding the small road which passes in front of the GH...
All the merchants and the life that goes with it... the pleasure of meeting people, the smiles and the kindness.
At Thomas it's not just a GH, it's above all that thanks to him we are in the heart of Cambodia...
And he rents motorbikes, bicycles and what he will bring you in addition is his gentleness...
You should not disturb him too much when he waters all his plants or you will have to help him because he is talkative and he likes you to be at his house, he pays attention as if you were his guest or like family and you become his friend ...
I had known Kompong Cham 6-7 years ago and this city has become big, interesting, clean and beautiful.
We will stay there longer on our next visit...
Regrets teased our hearts when leaving this GH and this endearing man...
I promise, Thomas, we will come back and we will resume the discussion about your Cambodia... among chatterboxes

Good address

Simple guesthouse, but very clean, well run by French-speaking Khmer. Spacious room, clean and functional bathroom. Well appointed and pleasant guesthouse. Located in an area 3 km from the center, typical and quiet. To recommend.

We recommend without hesitation

I recommend this guest cover. Thomas is there to make your stay easier. Impeccable room and bedding...we highly recommend it.
A little out of town, but 5 minutes by tuk tuk..scooter rental possible.
In short, we recommend with your eyes closed

Authentic

A bit out of town but right in the middle of a village. The owner is very helpful and one of the few places where we could rent a motorbike . Having wheels made it easy to visit the French tower and the temples. Also one of the few places where one can refill drink bottles.

Nice guest house

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 6 week self guided cycle tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. This place is a reasonable option. The rooms were clean and spacious and we opted for AC that worked well during our 3 night stay. Drinking water is provided to refill bottles (✔) Our bathroom was designed for the sink water and shower water to flow over the very shiny tiles to a drain in the corner. Unfortunately the doorway was the lowest point in the bathroom, so we had an inch of waste water over shiny tiles for the duration of our stay. There was a steady turn over of guests whilst we were there- mainly French, but there were backpackers, families, long term travellers and oldies like us. Thomas was helpful with information and helped us with our next booking over the phone. Breakfast was ok for an additional $2. They will also provide dinner for $5 and we had 2 dinners. Although this place is out of town, there are other cheaper options very close by for food if preferred. We enjoyed our days here, with a few side trips possible.
