So beautiful! And yet so down to earth.

We stayed in this hotel for a few days. I have never found it so difficult to give a review. Subjectively and with a benevolent analysis, I would say: we met staff who, when you approach them in a friendly manner, make a heart-breaking effort to fulfill all wishes and create a feel-good atmosphere. We have rarely been looked after in such a (desperate) friendly manner. A location near the monastery that is fantastic. A modern hotel ambience that is really beautiful at first glance and carries over into the room. We found a clean and largely functional room.
Viewed soberly and objectively, this hotel is a tragedy. Almost tragic (that's emotional again.)
- the few staff who look after very few guests in a large complex seem to live there. As said above: largely very friendly. But also somehow lifeless and unmotivated. It seems like they know that they are managing the shortage and somehow everyone is dissatisfied.
- cold water in the pool (it's supposed to be heated) and a junk room instead of a fitness room.
- we didn't dare ask for a massage
- Breakfast: small buffet at the weekend, during the week (as we were almost the only guests) you can order. A bit sad and not sooo good. The coffee tasted good.
- Restaurant: there was something to eat. But the restaurants nearby are much better.
- Room wasn't really cleaned - despite asking - extra bed was wrong, fold-out bed for fifth person was unbearable.
- there doesn't seem to be a caretaker. Areas inside and outside that need repair, i.e. things that can be easily fixed or repaired (e.g. replacing broken light bulbs), will remain as they are.
And yet it was a warm farewell, knowing that this hotel is a shell that hardly makes economic sense in this form.
