Pilar’s Pearl

You get a warm welcome here, everything is very well maintained and clean. It is right on the beach and very central. The restaurant/beach bar is right next door. The breakfast is really good. If you have a problem, you will be helped straight away. Very friendly staff and Matilda, the owner, is just wonderful.

NOT WORTH THE PENALTY

The guesthouse is no refinement or luxury to deserve 3, 4 or 5 stars the environment of the property of the guesthouse is bpnotia and the beach is not there these things.
Positive points: the area of the guesthouse is beautiful, beach foot in the sand and offer chairs and sunshine.
Negative points: Shower in precarious situation. key of the rooms is a difficulty to open, the outer surroundings of the guest house badly stinking, the environment of the periphery is not the best, much noise of music in the square that is next to the guest house.
Simple breakfast is basic, but meets the need.
If you want some tranquility and comfort I DO NOT recommend.

Terrible.

I stayed with my family due to the amount of positive reviews I saw, and I could see that they were nothing but falsehoods. The breakfast was very bad, and the employee was extremely dishonest, dirty pools, besides the fact that my sister and my mother had been through an embarrassment at the exit of the coffee. I don't know if he was an employee or one of the owners, but he called the two pretty uncomfortable: "Psiu, it's to take the dishes." I will never stay again, but if you are interested in the owners, the tip is: do not treat customers in an informal, indelicate way (neither our friends and relatives treat us as "psiu") and the establishment of you was the only one that requires customers to pick up their dishes at the end of the meals. I say this with property, because I have been through countless hotels and hostels, in Brazil and abroad.

Terrible

Only the location is good, it's walking
On the sand, the Inn is terrible, the place smells like old things, bad breakfast, spiders on the table, tiny, dirty pool. Expensive daily rate for what it offers, I've stayed in excellent places, with great locations for less money.

Excellent Breakfast

Though I didn't stay at Pousada Ruinas do Pilar, we did go there for breakfast on Sunday and the food was excellent. The owner Ron was a gracious host, and delivered food to the table himself. The food was a mix of traditional local food, pancakes, cake, and local fruit. The banana bread was made from bananas growing at the pousada. The cook visited the table to make sure that everything was good. And Matilde was particularly friendly at check-out (when we paid for breakfast). Recommended!
