Good service, good bed and room

Excellent location in the middle of downtown in Santarém city. Beautiful view near by and it is close by cathedral, restaurants, museums, beaches, handcrafted, many squares, stores, and much more. Therefore It possible take a cab for good price.

Good price/quality

We booked a double room with a window (front side) in this convenient hotel. Not a palace but well located in the district with a lot of merchant Streets and near the Church.
In fact we got a triple bed, a clean, quiet and large room, a bathroom with a good shower and... a friendly staff for less than 200 reales per night.

Bad value for your money

We got upgraded after they showed us a windowless cell for €50,-! The manager is actually rather nice but the rest of the staff is quite incompetent and i'm glad we only spent one night there! Organisation sucks badly!!!..................

Probably the best deal in Santarem

A taxi brought us here after we discovered the recommended mid-range hotels in Lonely Planet and Rough Guide were no longer in business. The cheapest rooms were a good deal, we had just come back from the Amazon and just wanted hot showers and free wifi. Good location downtown, and they stored our bags while we spent the day walking around town before the flight to Belem. Rooms were clean, a bit small but the breakfast was good.

Very good value business hotel

Originally the Hotel Sandis was meant to be a shopping, which explains the hotel layout and the fact that not all the rooms have windows.
That said this is a great hotel if you are on business in Santarem or a tourist looking for a central place to stay. It is located in the centre of town, right behind the pretty blue Santo Antonio church and a two blocks from the riverfront.
The hotel staff are really nice and rooms comfortable. They are clean and have all the basic things you need : air-conditioning, free wi-fi, good bathrooms (but with electric shower), good enough beds. Don´t expect luxury however and remember some rooms. do not have windows. Breakfast is also very good and nice restaurants at wlaking distance. Piracaia is a great place for a buffet lunch.
