Was very apprehensive about staying in Lapa but after arriving I felt so much better. The hotel is in a perfect spot which made it easy to see Santa Teresa, the Lapa arches and sample local nightlife in Lapa. The staff were all so helpful and made our stay perfect. Would definitely stay again if I come back to Rio.

Kind and helpful personell. Room was small an unpractical, but it worked. Toilet and shower was in a separate room in the hallway. Room was dark.. wires(looked hot-wired) stikking out from lamp. Some lamps not working. Dark in the hallway. Had to use flashlight to find my self into the room. Breakfast was good. Sketchy neighbourhood.... dirty, much traffic, people sleeping in the streets. I did not like the location at all.

Great

A wonderful hotel! Old structure, but cosy, super attentive staff and barbaric breakfast! Great cleaning! I recommend and very much!

I needed a place for the night and this served well. The breakfast was great.
Only negative remark would’ve that there was no towel in the room.
Otherwise definitely a place I’d pick again

Very basic

The reception from the parking lot was excellent.
But then begins the long walk with many stairs. To access the reception more two half-floor lances of stairs.
Bad reception. The system was “out of the air” and two employees stopped without initiative. He needed another employee, who had already left the shift, to resolve.
There elevator : small and for large people, only once at a time ... (in the door paper glued for 2 people).
More stairs and I went to the apartment. Small, very uncomfortable bed. Bathroom equally small and tight. Green loucas (well old). What saved was the good shower.
I do not recommend before the hotel does an urgent modernization.
