Beautiful holidays

We stayed the first half of January with my family for the second time. A very nice hotel ideal for visiting with boys, is very quiet and safe. We were in a hydro loft. The food is still excellent, before they had buffet for dinner and no longer, a shame. We want to thank the guys at the bar (Sandro-Edson-wesley-Maria) heartily make the hotel much better, the human quality is priceless! My kids loved the hotel

Excellent boutique hotel in geriba

Excellent hotel, with a garden with swimming pool and dream beds, bar and restaurant service with very commensurate prices and exquisite food, located in geriba 150 meters from the beach with umbrellas and chairs included, all the very friendly and attentive staff to the needs of the guest, from the management, reception, the bar boys, cleaning and maintenance staff, is my third time in Serena and of course we continue choosing it

Well organised and efficient boutique hotel

This is a very well organised, clean and pretty boutique hotel. An oasis of calm with lovely gardens and a pool. We would have scored 5 stars but we had a problem with our reservation on arrival which meant we had an upgraded room for one night then had to move to another the following day which was disappointing as we had been travelling for a couple of weeks and just wanted to end our holiday with a restful stay.
Staff are very efficient as are housekeeping. The breakfast is adequate, but the pool could be bigger. Location is ideal for a quiet break, but you need taxis if you wish to go downtown. Having said this, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

GOOD HOTEL BUT WITH SHORTCOMINGS THAT DESERVE IT

I will begin by referring to the area where it is located. Very close to the beach Geriba one of the best in Buzios, but a little more than 150 meters that announces the publication of the Serena. To move from its location to the center of Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot requires a taxi (40 R), Uber (25 R) or walk about 10/15 minutes to the Avenue where the combis or vans circulate (5 R per person) that bring you to the center and most other beaches, stops from which you always have to walk a little more. About 15/20 minutes walk from the hotel and on the aforementioned avenue, there is a business complex and gastronomic pole called Porto da Barra, from where you can see a beautiful sunset on the sea. We spent 10 days in a double standard (they are located above and we knew it) the 603. Upon arrival already in the room we found that the towels were not in good condition (some with holes) the bed cover with old stains. Amenities deficit particularly soaps (. One per room per day even though we were 2 people) and shampoo (single tube). This was solved somewhat by the intervention of Alejandra the manager of very good disposition whom we thank. A few days the situation changed but then we returned to the same thing and we did not want to continue claiming. The two bathroom windows have the locking system broken.Cleanliness leaves to be desired. The bathroom lacks a towel rail to hang the hand towel. The plate is small and its door and drawer do not close properly. To highlight the abundance of shower water and its temperature. The attention of the outstanding concierge staff. Eduardo and the other boy of the best. Hug them. The whole room complex is framed in an excellent park very well maintained with pool and sun loungers. Very close to the swimming pool and administration, the dining room and breakfast room with indoor and outdoor space well put. Very good and varied breakfast with good staff. Many tropical fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, etc. Even champagne. The rest with a not very wide menu but good dishes noon and night. It's not very cheap. Here we had a disagreement with waiter Sandro when ordering a glass of wine. I only completed half of it and when I told him it was little we had an impolite response. When Alejandra heard the next day, she invited us with another drink, with another remarkable gesture from her. Well in short a hotel that would deserve a better rating for the good things it provides, but with the mentioned details that detract from its services. Price - regular quality ratio.

It's worth it! Charming hotel, despite the tiring journey.

We stayed at Hotel Serena in Búzios and we just loved the experience!
The hotel is excellent — quiet, cozy and super romantic Mood, perfect for two travelers. The breakfast is delicious, with a lot of variety and everything fresh. The room was always clean and well arranged, and the Cleaning Service was impeccable throughout the stay.
The waiters are very polite and attentive, and we would like to leave a special thanks to the waitress Felipe, who served us with a lot of affection, presence and cordiality.
The only downside is the transfer to Búzios, which is quite tiring — the journey can take more than 3 hours, depending on the traffic, which makes you lose virtually two daily (the first and last day of travel).
