Unforgettable Family Christmas Holiday

The Christmas eve and Christmas day were unforgettable! You guys did so much extra with the table decorations and personal name tags we as a family did feel very special. The river boat drive were unforgettable!! The Mokorro drive were so special. We even was asking for other breakfast food and the cook made specially for us “pap and mince”. This was our 2 nd vist and definitely not our last visit!!! Thanks to everyone working rhere.

Nice Location Average Lodge

We spent 2 nights at this Lodge.The Lodge is Nice and most probably was rennovates recently but there are things that do not work. 1) our room was not big and the WC has no separate room. This make very unconfortable to use it. 2) the room has only 2 elecric sockets and with 2 mobile phones, 2 cameras, 1 videocamera … it was a challenge. 3) The room has 2 Windows but only one has the mosquito net. What does it cost to have mosquito net on all Windows?? 4) food was average. 5) we had a full day tour on the boat. We loved the experience and we saw many animals. It was great but I like to advise potential customers that the boat driver took us 3-4 times to close to Elephants and to Hyppo to the Point that one elephant overreacted and we had to drive. Make sure you pick a wise boat driver.Overall we did not like this Lodge but I still give 3 Point a because location is great and we had a good service.

This lodge is a health risk. Full stop.
We knowingly booked a room without air-conditioning, which was not an issue and fully expected. What was not disclosed is that the rooms have no window screens. That leaves you with two options in December heat: keep the windows closed and bake, or open them and let mosquitoes pour in. There is no third option.
We were forced to leave the windows partially open just to breathe. The mosquito net over the bed was completely inadequate—it does not seal to the floor and does not fully close. As a result, between my wife and me, we woke up with well over 60 mosquito bites in a single night.
This is not just uncomfortable. In a region with malaria risk, this is unacceptable and dangerous.
We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of December and had planned to return for one more night at the end of our trip. After explaining the situation and our health concerns, we asked to cancel the final night. The lodge refused and would not refund the money.
For context, we traveled extensively throughout Botswana on this trip and had zero mosquito issues anywhere else. This problem was isolated to this property due to poor room design and inadequate mosquito protection.
If you value your health, do not stay here. The mosquitoes will eat you alive. Book somewhere else.

Lovely family friendly lodge.

We spend a week here as a family over Christmas and booked two units. The rooms were always spotless, the staff friendly and helpful. The food was great. The area is a bird watcher’s dream. There is enough open grass area where my kids ran and played. Can definitely recommend.

Brilliant stay

Perfect place if you are in the Maun area. You are pretty close to the Delta and other major Botswana highlights. Will be staying here again.
