Simple accommodation at a fair price. Clean with great service.

Great, quiet location in bungalows on the lake. Very good food at low prices. Wi-Fi modest. Airport pickup service worked out very well even at night. Communication in advance also very good. Onward transport is also well organized. Super nice staff. Of course, you can't expect luxury for the price. Rooms, beds and restaurant but all super clean. No toilet paper initially in the room , no toilet seat (no such thing works), no storage facilities - actually little things you can expect despite the cheap price.

Nice location

Certainly the place is top, the rooms on stilts, the lake in decor, nothing to say about rooms. The relaxing place with hammock is more often occupied by people working there or from the village than by visitors, the meals are not extraordinary and the choice is very limited.

The hotel is situated near the hotel.
A scenic view!
A very quiet place!. You can wat h the fishermen.
Very friendly personel.
We have eaten the best gambas ever here.
Hopefully the lodge will be more accessible after the road will be finished.

Fantastic spot right on Lake Ahémé

To get to Bel Ami Sur Pilotis, ask for Tokpa Dome (large market very close by). There are roads from either Ouidah or Ségbohoué. Neither are in great condition but would be passable in a car or a moto (zem).
The accommodation itself is located on stilts on the edge of the Lake. The rooms are basic (double bed, mosquito net, small floor fan, and basic ensuite shower/toilet.) It is fantastic to wake up on the edge of the lake hearing the waves roll in underneath you.
The going rate (7,800CFA) (I think) is fantastic value and includes an omelette with bread and coffee or crepes in the morning. The bar area has a TV and occasional WiFi where you can order in cold beer. The food options are really, really good value. The fish is freshly caught and then cooked how you like it. Served with options of chips/aloko/rice. The fish was utterly gorgeous and for 2,500CFA ridiculously good value.
The staff are all super friendly and despite there being very, very little to do in the nearby town, if you want a couple of days drinking cold beer, eating great fish and swimming in a lake in rural Benin, this is the spot. Can't recommend enough!

Un lieu magique, les pieds dans l'eau. Avec un hôte attentionné et aux petits soins.

Des chambres sur pilotis réalisées par l'hôte et sa famille avec une vue imprenable sur le lac Ahémé, un havre de paix pour passer un séjour inoubliable. Pamphile gère son offre d'hébergement avec professionnalisme et dynamisme, et propose des activités à ses hôtes (parcours en pirogues sur le lac traversée pour aller visiter Possotomé...). Les repas sont très bons et copieux, mention spéciale pour les gambas et le crabe.
