It’s a great place to meet other people. We had a private room and access to a shared outdoor kitchen. It was a great combination.

Nice communal area with morning coffee. Great location just off the main road to Hopkins and very close to da beach

great place

Love the Dodo, HOWEVER,
There's a grumpy old MAGA American man who spends his winters there and rarely leaves the common space. Stay at the Dodo, but steer clear of him.

As a small, social hostel, we welcome guests from all over the world and from all age groups, and some travelers choose to stay a little longer than others. This is quite common in hostels and helps create the relaxed, community atmosphere many guests enjoy.

This is a great place to lay your head in Hopkins at an affordable price. Staff are really helpful and knowledgeable. I stayed in a private room with shared shower. The room was adequate and a powerful fan for cooling. There was a dog in the house next door that barked incessantly in front of my window. Obviously not the fault of the hostel, but something to be aware of. I wear heavy duty earplugs when I sleep and the dogs yaps pierced right through them. All in all though, good place to stay with a friendly vibe.
