Lovely location and top-notch service for a relaxing vacation

My husband husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with our week at Casa Nova Cabanas! Our very clean room (with good AC!) was right on the beach and we enjoyed the view of the clear water which was totally free of sargassum. The water was calm and good for swimming or just floating around. A palapa at the end of the dock was a perfect place to lounge, and there were also chairs on the beach, as well as kayaks, paddleboards, and a cornhole game.
The amenities, cleanliness, and atmosphere were great, and the service by Kayla and Jamie was superb! They are helpful, professional and friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we were well cared for. Jamie is an fine chef (and bartender) who prepared excellent breakfasts and dinners, combining his expertise with our special requests.
This bnb is a 45 minute golf cart ride from San Pedro, and its location on the west side of Ambergris Caye allows for a relaxing atmosphere. Kayla and Jamie can arrange various excursions and activities, and the bars/restaurants of Secret Beach are a short distance away. We did a bit of exploring, but were surprised at how content we were just to spend our time at this sweet bnb.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Our time at Casa Nova Cabanas was phenomenal. We will be back! The hosts, Jaime and Kayla are the absolute best and make you feel welcome, loved, and well cared for from the moment you step on the property. The setting was absolute paradise, the food was delicious, the views were stunning, and the vibe was complete relaxation. If you are looking for a beachside spot with clear water and a private setting this is the place you want to be. Our days were filled with trips back and forth to the beach(which is about 30 feet away) using paddle boards, snorkeling, kayaking, sitting on the dock, floating in the anchored “donut”, eating the wonderful food that Jaime cooked us up, and enjoying the pina colada’s and tequila sunrise specials…and that was in between our naps. Just down the road are some great options for food and vibe if you want to switch it up a bit. There’s also a local fruit stand and nearby (5 minutes) spots to get chilled coconuts. The other side of the island is filled with the stench of sargasm but that is not even a thought on this side. They partner with a number of local businesses if you want to go out on excursions or stay in for massages. Very clean and well kept place. We can’t recommend it highly enough…if there were a place for 10 stars they would have gotten it.

Best honeymoon spot

Very peaceful and relaxing for our honeymoon. Secret beach area was very fun, and the property was private with the best beach. The staff was more than accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay very special.

Best cabanas on secret beach!

We spent our honeymoon here and we had the best time. Kaila and Jamie took amazing care of our every need, from private sunset dinners setup on the dock, to amazing service bringing delicious drinks to the beach, this place is so nice. I was also able to fly fish right off the beach infront of our cabana and caught multiple bonefish. They made our stay the best it could be. The food was all so good and the rooms were clean, cool and comfortable. The location is also great as it is close enough to the beach bars of secret beach but far enough that it feels like you have your own private beach. They also set us up with a snorkel trip that picked up on their dock so we didn’t have to drive all the way to San Pedro.
We will be back, thanks again!

Wonderful stay!!!

We stayed at Casa Nova Cabana and had the most wonderful experience, with exceptional comfort and hospitality!
Our hosts, Keila and Jaime, welcomed us with both professionalism and genuine warmth. We were also delighted by the delicious meals prepared by Chef Jaime!
We highly recommend it — 10/10!
We absolutely loved our stay!
