Great beach and reasonably good resort.

The resort is located on a very nice beach with a clear turquoise water. Quite and relaxing atmosphere.
The units are spacious, the kitchen is equipped with all needed to cook. Overall it was a nice stay.

Island Seas Resort has some positives, but unfortunately the negatives outweighed them for us.
The best part is the location. It’s directly on a beautiful beach, and the grounds are very nice and well maintained. We also had a great massage. The wellness area is pretty bare-bones, but the masseuse was excellent. The food at SeaGrape Restaurant was also very good.
Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely dated and desperately need renovation. Our room smelled moldy/mildewy, we had repeated issues with the room key, and we found a large palmetto bug/roach inside. We live in Florida and know these bugs exist, but I’ve never stayed in a hotel where I actually found one in my room.
Our smoke detector also had a low battery and chirped repeatedly all night. When we called for help, we were told no one could address it until the next day, leaving us to deal with it ourselves.
Service was extremely slow, and several areas, including the bar, were unattended. We understand it was the slow season, but paying guests should still receive the amenities and services advertised.
The Wi-Fi is also terrible, so bring a hotspot if you need reliable internet.
This resort has a beautiful location and a lot of potential, but it feels like a property that may have been great 20 years ago and hasn’t kept up. I would rather pay more to stay elsewhere and would not return.

Not worth it

So many issues, too many to mention, no internet, no store on property, drinks were watered down, when you walk the beach you are baraded by people selling stuff

Acceptable experience.

I recommend getting a data plan because the Wi-Fi is terrible; bring water shoes because there are little rocks on the beach. Do not rent a car because the steering wheel is on the right. Buy groceries at the Solomon Lucaya supermarket; there is a free bus on Mondays from 12:00 to 2:30 from the hotel.
On the other hand, the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas, and we had good weather.

They clean two times a week and I had traveled with my kids 4 and 2 years old whereby I needed to clean every day but that was impossible
On my check in day I got there and they said they didn’t have my reservation so I had to figure it out where to stay yet I had paid for it am still waiting for my refund
