Superb location for an hotel that have seen better days and glorious times.

The hotel is well kept but definitely looks old and going back to the 80s. It's location is fantastic, the service is good, albeit distant and cold once you have moved away from reception.
I was upgraded to a junior suite on the intercontinenthal club floor, 11th, the lounge is at 12th. Some rooms offer very nice view on Vienna, de l'homme looked clean, but very dated, the construction is not sound proof and at night you can hear lifts and plumbing, it's weird for such a 5 stars, show how old is its construction and haven't been properly renovated ever since, I have been using this hotel in Vienna since 2016, and remain surprised they haven't renovated it, it was already looking "old" then.
Upgraded to 1150, a corner Jr Suite, it had separate walk in closet, very large bathroom with 3 separate parts (shower/ toilets and bidet / main bathroom) the bed room was very large, 25sqm, with sofa, desk, large comfy bed, but no plugs by the bed lampa to charge your phone, a sign that the hotel design goes back to the 80s.
In the room, despite being on a corner, you can hear the lifts machineries, and other noises, very uncomfortable.
The lounge on the 12th floor is nice, offers diner and breakfast, and nice 180 degree views on the city, service is very distant, actually, no service at all during meals, they don't catter to you, come to your table, service is closer to a crowne plaza lounge, than a real IC Club lounge.
The gym is big but old too. If price is right it is a well located hotel, but doesn't compare at all with the more modern 5 stars next to it. Here it is more a very good 4.5 stars, a "bit" dated but it will gives you a Vienna flair of the 80s.

More than happy -from a distance

As I have stayed several times in the very nice hotel with delicious breakfast.There is also a new boss who is very trying and also mingles with the guests to greet them warmly.The rooms are bright and clean.There is a great menu and the Backhendl or Beef Tatar I can highly recommend.The staff is very friendly and endeavoured to fulfill all wishes.The guys at the bar are top and more than trying for their guests, especially René Hut from what he does all for his guests.Thank you again.

Great hotel in a nice location away from all the tourists but still nearby

We had a very nice time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was amazing! It is in an amazing location right near the Stadtpark U station. Therefore, it was easy to get everywhere blocks from the hotel. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was highly worthwhile and if I came to Vienna again, I would definitely use this hotel!

Exceptional Customer Service ( Xhesika) and a Fantastic Location

I stayed at this hotel during the Eurovision Contest and had a wonderful experience. While the property itself is a little dated, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. The location is outstanding—just a short walk from the town centre, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
What truly made my stay exceptional, however, was the outstanding service provided by Jessica Xhebexhia. As I was navigating multiple apps, online bookings, and travel arrangements, which became particularly stressful when I lost access to my Eurovision ticket through the event app.
Jessica went above and beyond to help. She patiently worked with me to identify the correct contacts and email addresses, helping me regain access to my ticket. She didn't simply point me towards a website or a phone number and leave me to figure it out myself—she stayed involved and guided me through the entire process until the issue was resolved.
In addition, she helped me understand the train system and assisted with booking seats for the next leg of our journey. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine willingness to help turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Jessica's dedication to customer service is truly exceptional and deserves special recognition. She is a tremendous asset to the hotel, and her support significantly enhanced my stay. Thank you, Jessica, for going above and beyond!
