Hotel Kendler is a family-run 4-star-superior hotel in the pedestrian zone in the heart of Saalbach, only a few minutes’ walk away from the cable cars and the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski, hiking and biking area.

Nice indoor and warm outdoor pool. Friendly staff, location next to ski slope. Perfect for families.

A fantastic hotel but it does have some really stupid and annoying rules.
When I am paying £600 a night for my room I do not expect to have to pay for tap water with my supper. €3.50 per bottle of tap water. It’s already built into the cost. And, why you can have as much tea as you like for breakfast but you have to pay for it after dinner is beyond me.
Otherwise it is a wonderful hotel and the food in the restaurant is excellent

Kendler - a Top Place in Saalbach
We spent a few summer days at the Hotel Kendler in Saalbach and were generally very satisfied.
Pitch & parking
The hotel is located at the end of the pedestrian zone, so right in the center while remaining calm. It has an underground car park with two charging stations for electric cars, as well as two additional outdoor spaces. In summer, parking is free, which is very welcome.
Facilities & wellness
The property is modern, well maintained and very well equipped. There is an indoor pool and an outdoor pool with integrated Jacuzzi. The spa includes an area accessible to children and adults, as well as a night area with a classic sauna (90°C), a bio-sauna (60°C) and a steam room. Another asset is the adults-only rooftop Jacuzzi from 5 p.m., which offers a relaxing atmosphere and a nice view.
Room
We had a double room of about 32 m2, with bathroom and separate toilet. The only small drawback: the shower is in the bathtub, which is a little less convenient. The room is equipped with a safe, refrigerator and TV. It was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Restauration (All Inclusive & Joker Card)
We opted for the all-inclusive formula in summer, with the Joker Card in addition.
• Drinks: included from 10 am to 10 pm (sodas, beer, aperitif, schnapps...).
• Breakfast: very varied, with an impressive choice.
• Lunch: consisting of soup, salad and main course.
• Dinner: twice buffet style, otherwise served at the table.
The cuisine is excellent, refined and diverse.
Service & animation
The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. Once a week, a dance party/prom is organized, which brings an extra friendly touch.
Conclusion
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kendler. The facilities are modern and quality, the cuisine is remarkable, the staff friendly and the ideal location. Apart from the detail of the shower in the bathtub, everything was perfect. We had a great holiday and will be back with pleasure.

Superb Hotel and location
Superb Hotel in a great location and with excellent service.
We stayed in January for a week skiing, the room we had (Comfort double room without balcony) was fab. It had dual aspect windows with a view over the outdoor hot tub and the main Bergkogel gondola. The only complaint about the room was it was warm. This was despite the radiators being turned off. I would have happily slept with the windows slightly open, but my husband is a light sleeper and could hear some outside noise. However this didn’t bother us too much, just meant that we had to throw the covers off.
The food in the hote was plentiful and tasty. Breakfast was both a buffet and a choice of specialist eggs (omelette, fried etc). There was plenty of choice from cheese and meats, pastries, cereals, fruit, porridge, or bacon and eggs. Afternoon tea was amazing (and at no additional cost), there was refillable sodas, tea and coffees. A wide choice of cake and patesseries, cheese and meats and a hot option like Spätzle. If you had a hard day on the slopes you can certainly refuel. The evening meal was also delicious. You made your choice in the morning of which starter and main you wanted and this was supplemented with a salad buffet, soup, pudding and cheese. We had to restrain ourselves to make sure we didn’t eat too much.
The restaurant and bar area was nicely decorated and I would describe it w modern alpine chic.
The spa area was also fabulous. The enormous infinity hot-tub was a great place to rest weary muscles and we enjoyed the sauna and relaxation areas too.
The boot room provided individual lockers per room, so you knew your kit was safe and secure and it was a couple of minutes walk to access the slopes, and head to the Bernkogel or Kohlmais lifts.
Finally we really liked Saalbach town and found that there was a wide range of après options to cater for all tastes and ages. We will be back

Best ski hotel ever
The best ski hotel ever. Perfect location right near lifts. Wonderful room and spa. Excellent ski snacks. Diner was like a Michelin experience every night. Local wine was superb. As was the Weiss beer although a bit pricey. Room service excellent. I cannot review more highly.
