I would come again

I really enjoyed staying at the Parkhotel Graz. I got a bit of a shock when I first checked in to my room and it wasn't quite as it looked in the photos, but it was super clean, the sheets were soft and so were the towels and the bed was comfy.
One thing that surprised me was the lack of amenities in the room, no slippers, no soap, no conditioner, no shower cap, no nothing except for a combination shampoo, body wash attached to the wall in the shower. I did stay at another hotel in Austria and this it would appear is a common feature. So perhaps this is not so unusual in this country.
What made the stay super special was the friendliness of the staff. The restaurant with the courtyard garden was a delightful place to eat in. The ample free parking is a great bonus. The location of the hotel is also good. It's a very short walk into the old part of the town through the park and it's away from the main hustle and bustle. The indoor swimming pool was so nice to come back to each day after the extreme heat that Europe is going through right now. It's great for doing laps in and great for kids to play in as well. I would definitely come back and stay again and recommend it.

Perfect for sightseeing and for travelers with a car

The family-run traditional hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the old town. Tram line No. 1 stops directly in front of the hotel, with which you can easily travel to the center or to Eggenberg Palace without changing trains. There are plenty of parking spaces in the inner courtyard, some of which are covered. Those who book the hotel directly can even park for free. The check-in was professional, polite, accommodating, and competent. Our booked suite was an excellent size. Although located on the street side, it was pleasantly quiet due to the double-paned windows. Overall, the hotel is furnished with great style and taste. It radiates a cozy tranquility everywhere. In good weather, dinner is served outside in the small garden in the courtyard. The quality of the food offered was excellent. The service staff was also very well trained, which speaks for good management. The breakfast was good and in line with the standard of the establishment.
Conclusion: We can recommend the hotel without reservation.

I do not think I had enough time to explore all available amenities. Next time I get to Graz, I am definitely reserving more time for this

Lovely hotel in a great location with exceptional staff

This is a lovely hotel. The location is great. It is walking distance to parks, university, downtown and the farmers' market. A tram stop is a three minute walk from the hotel.
The front desk staff are efficient and friendly.
Special thanks to Carina at the front desk.
Thanks too to Marla, Mercedes, Mr. Baumgartner, Julia and Yannik and everyone else who was at the front desk helping me and whose names evade me while writing the review (sorry). Each person contributed something special to my stay.
Breakfast is important and thank you to Anna in the kitchen for my breakfast egg requests. What are eggs without chives? Thank you Thomas for introducing me to the chives. Also good coffee is important so thank you to Mila in the restaurant. All the early morning breakfast staff are thanked for all they provide to the guests.
Rooms are super clean. Thanks too to Robert, Natalia and Grace in housekeeping.

Charming accommodations in the old town of Graz.

The Park Hotel is a traditional, family-run hotel in the city center. It offers modern facilities and good service. The location is impressive, and one feels at home there.
