Impeccable hospitality in Ellmau – calm, personal, and beautifully run.
I stayed at Hotel Kaiserhof from Thursday to Sunday and had an outstanding experience from start to finish.
The service, food, and facilities are all excellent, but what really sets this hotel apart is its attention to detail. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful rather than scripted. Staff were consistently warm, observant, and proactive, often anticipating needs before they were mentioned.
The food deserves special mention. Each meal was beautifully prepared, varied, and clearly made with care. Dining never felt routine – there was a real sense of pride in both presentation and quality.
The hotel itself is immaculate and very well laid out. Facilities are excellent, calm, and inviting, with a clear focus on guest comfort. Everything works seamlessly, which allows you to properly relax and enjoy the stay.
What impressed me most were the small touches: the way staff remember preferences, the quiet efficiency, and the feeling that nothing is too much trouble. Those details make the experience feel personal rather than transactional.
I would highly recommend Hotel Kaiserhof to anyone visiting Ellmau and would not hesitate to return. It’s a place that clearly cares about doing things properly – and it shows.

Black mold
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel. In our room, there was significant black mold that had already spread. This poses a potential health risk and is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel. We will certainly not stay here again.

Excellent conference hotel with a feel-good factor.
From June 3rd to June 6th, 2026, we had the pleasure of spending a business trip with a team seminar at Hotel Kaiserhof – and we were thoroughly impressed.
The seminar room was excellently equipped, modernly furnished, and left nothing to be desired in terms of technology, comfort, and service. The professional support on-site ensured that we could fully concentrate on our content.
Particularly noteworthy is the unique combination of a productive working atmosphere and diverse opportunities for team development. After the seminar sessions, the stunning surroundings provided ideal conditions for group hikes in the Wilden Kaiser.
The evenings spent enjoying excellent food were also a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas away from the professional routine and strengthen team cohesion.
The entire establishment impresses with its warm hospitality, high service quality, and special feel-good atmosphere. For companies looking to conduct seminars, workshops, or team days in a professional yet relaxed environment, Kaiserhof comes highly recommended.

Fantastic classy hotel and super staff
I can't say enough good things about this hotel! It was fabulous, and definitely one of the nicest we have ever stayed at.
We stayed at the Kaiserhof for 6 nights in early March. We had 2 rooms for 5 of us which were both fantastic, large, modern and spotless. The hotel itself is located up on the side of a red slope, which was lovely to feel that you're right in the mountains. You can ski from the hotel down to the main lift but its quite steep. The view from our Argentum room was spectacular and we loved the infrared cabin.- Housekeeping was excellent and timely every morning.
All the staff were super friendly and courteous. You can tell by the staff when management is good, and its really good here. The family who own the hotel were always around and chatting to guests. Everyone here had a smile and seemed happy at work, creating a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent, although sometimes a bit too elaborate for our kids tastes, who love a buffet to see the food so they can choose. The hotel were more than happy to oblige any food request to suit the kids and have a kids menu too. They did a fantastic cheese fondue.
Kristian in the restaurant was amazing, he even did magic tricks for the kids, which we all loved. Helmut, the shuttle driver was also great and full of interesting information.
The rooftop area and pool was beautiful but I couldn't use it much as it was adults only. The kids loved the swimming pool on the ground floor and the family sauna and steam rooms. The pool was nice and warm too. Everywhere was spotless.
My kids loved that there weren't many other kids staying there, as it was nice and calm and quiet. They had music in the bar in the evening but this didn't disturb the rooms. If you wanted a livelier apres ski you could get the hotel shuttle to the village a couple of KM away. We loved it here and would love to visit again!
