Always fantastic !

We come to this wonderful hotel 2 times a year for a few years.
From the service to the ambience it is always just perfect.
In particular, the price-performance ratio is incredibly good.

Best Hotels in Europe (Austria)

A fantastic hotel. Have been there 3 years in a row for a week each year. No finger can be placed on the location. Nice helpful staff with sense of detail.
Have been skiing in Ellmau Wilder Kaiser for 30 years.
From the hotel there is direct access to the slopes. 92 lifts in luxury version (some have heat in the seats) and 250 km of pistes
It is both for children, trained and "haies"
Don't be fooled by the height (1500 -1900 meters). I've never been where there wasn't snow.

Excellent establishment - without compromises - everything is simply perfect here.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Bear.
Warm welcome, a comfortable atmosphere in all areas of the establishment. Stylish, cozy, and very clean.
The team is always there for you, friendly, competent, and enjoying their work.
The food - best ingredients - tastes fantastic!
Oh - and the pool area - a dream.

Another wonderful week at the Baer- Hospitality Plus

Having just returned from another excellent week at the Baer I felt compelled to write a review of the stay. Firstly the hotel physically is located in the ideallic village of Elmau with a ski in ski out access to the slopes. The main building has a wonderful collection of quiet spaces to explore and relax with great veiws from the bar and a large spa with fantastic gymnasium ,swimming pool and thermal suite for those who eitehr need to ease muscles after a day out or excersise more on their return. Over the years it has continued to evolve and develop and grow but has managed throughout our time managed to retain its heart and soul with its wonderful hospitality and service. There are so many recognised faces amongst the team it shows how the Windisch Family have been able to curate a loyalty but above all it has allowed them to instill a truly individual attitude to service which insures guest feel both welcome and relaxed from the moment they arrive. The team are led by example with family members on site continuously and a management team lead by Robert insuring that young faces are developed but with strict supervision- so often ignored in newer properties .Once again the food has also evolved and keeps pace with current culinary trends , they have not followed traits and fads but stuck to the essentials with really good quality ingredients and a clear skillbase servicen exciting and enjoyable meals all week- wether that be a wholes breakfast before the setting out for the slopes , a recovery afternoon tea or the more traditional dinner fare - which incidentally offers a breath of choice witch should satisfy most- we were never short of choice and were always left with a quandary as to which choice to make often having different dishes between us to satisfy our curiosty!.
