Entspannter Familienurlaub

Spontan haben wir uns heuer für einen Urlaub auf dem Kanzlerhof entschieden. Mit zwei Kleinkindern haben wir die zentrale Lage und die vielen Spielmöglichkeiten im Haus und im Garten genossen. Besonders begeistert hat uns Erwachsene der prächtige Hausgarten der Gastgeberin.
Auch ein Besuch im etwas entfernten Stall war möglich, wo unsere Tochter sogar die Kälber füttern durfte.
Neben ein paar kleineren Wanderungen (Ödernalm und Stausee)haben wir natürlich auch im Ödensee und Grundlsee gebadet. Die Gegend hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen und wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

No recommendable at all: the owners are very nasty and unfriendly. The smell is unbearable.

We had very unpleasant experience with the owners of Kanzlerhof, definitively not client-oriented. We are a family of four: parents and two children, we rented a two bedroom apartment for 6 nights. We had a small domestic accident that ended up slightly damaging the inside door of the deep-fridge. The owners made us paid the whole door in cash (EUR 76) after a very unpleasant arguing, even thought they confessed their apartment is fully insured. Besides, the apartment is in a farm and one of the bedroom's windows faces directly were they collect the cow's dung (excrement) so unfortunately was not possible to open that window to ventilate the room and get the lovely fresh air of the mountains.

Clean rooms

We arrived by bicycle to Kanzlerhof on a Sunday afternoon. The owner wasn't there, in fact we never actually met her. Her daughter showed us the room, but we never saw anyone after that. We ended up having to pay for the room at a bank because no one was home when we left the next morning.
It is close to town where there are some bakeries and a biergarten for dinner.

Preisleistung unstimmig

Das Essen war gut und das Personal freundlich. Das Preisniveau ist allerdings sehr hoch (vier verschiedene Hauptgerichte + Salat oder Menü-Vorspeise oder Menü-Nachspeise 29€) und das Preis/Leistungsniveau nicht angemessen, daher eine kritische Bewertung: Tüten-Wedges als Beilage sind mal iO - aber dem Preis nicht angemessen. Auswahl nicht sonderlich kreativ, für Vegetarier nur die Standard-Käsespätzle (die mit Salat dann auch 29€ kosten...). Steak gut aber nicht regional (es essen dann eben 80% der Gäste Steak).

Wunderbare Tage in Bad Mitterndorf

Wir (2 Erw., 2 Kinder) durften unseren Urlaub dieses Jahr am Kanzlerhof verbringen und die Ferienwohnung direkt im Zentrum von Bad Mitterndorf beziehen. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber, der Empfang und insgesamt der Umgang sehr herzlich. Unsere Kinder hatten großen Spass an den Spielmöglichkeiten im Garten und haben auch die Zeit mit im Stall sehr genossen. Von Traktor fahren bis Melken war alles dabei. Schade ist nur, dass der Stall nicht direkt neben den Räumlichkeiten , sondern einen halben Kilometer entfernt liegt. Insgesamt kommern wir sehr gerne wieder nach Bad Mitterndorf. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten zum Radfahren und Wandern in sehr schöner Umgebung!
