Comfortable place to stay
My husband and I stayed two nights at the Wonthaggi Motel. We had a queen size room. Please note there are no restaurants on site so dinner and breakfast had to be had off-site. There is a place just over the road called The Exchange Cafe where you can get breakfast and if you take the flyer and your room key you can get 5% off your breakfast cost. We went for dinner the first night at the Wonthaggi Club in McBride Av which is only a short walk from the motel. The meal was very nice. The second night we went to the Wonthaggi Workmens Club and again we had a very nice meal again within walking distance to the motel.

Comfortable, quiet and central.
Large comfortable room with 2 queen size beds. Quiet off street so no noise. Usual kitchen appliances, good bathroom. Friendly host. A bit expensive at $205, but not much else to be found in Wonthaggi for that night.
Luckily we could a cheap evening meal at KFC next door, lol.

Worth a stay….
This motel is in a good central location with all your main shops, cafes & restaurants all within walking distance. The rooms are clean & modern with all your usual appliances. My advice would be to book a room down the back of the motel as it will be quieter. There is no on site restaurant, plenty of parking within & also on the street especially if your towing a trailer.

Excellent motel, excellent location.
We just got back from two nights here and it was excellent. When we checked in the lady gave us some ideas and where to go around town and beyond town. We followed her suggestions and were really happy.
Room (#2) was large, clean and comfortable. Bed was great as was the shower. Motel is within walking distance to the town (2 mins walk) and across the road from the supermarket.
Tea, coffee, milk supplied in the room. Great heating/air con. Everything we needed.
Location of the town is close to Cape Paterson, Kilcunda and Inverloch for all your beach holiday needs. Also not too far from Philip Island if you want to visit there. And, best of all - only 90 mins from Melbourne.
I can't think of any negative points and we'll be back there in a few weeks (on a non-public holiday weekend) as we enjoyed it so much.

Comfortable clean motel
Quiet clean motel in the middle of town. Friendly helpful owner. Place is dated and can do with a make over. Peeling on some walls in bathroom which is not nice to see but apart from that the place is still in good condition and comfortable. A little on the dear side pricing wise. Perfect for overnight stop over or weekend away.

Frank, thank you for taking the time to review your work stay at our Motel. I checked the room you stayed in and found that when the Extractor Fan in the bathroom ceiling had been replaced, plaster around it had been damaged and the repair was less than satisfactory with a small section coming away. Tradie that did original repair is coming back to fix it properly this time. As for other paintwork peeling there is no other paint in the bathroom as floor and walls are all tiled, so not sure about that comment. Again, thanks for the review and more importantly thank you for your business. Look forward to seeing you again.l
