Never again

I have stayed at The criterion many times in the last 8 years but I believe this will be the last time I will ever stay at the hotel again. The music was so loud I could hear it through my noise cancelling headphones. My entire room, including my bed was shaking and vibrating from the noise. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I spoke to the staff/manager on duty And it’s pretty much too bad so sad it’s a Pub you’re staying in. They don’t care about their hotel accommodation guests. The price is gone up to $120 per night for a double room which no longer includes breakfast. The country Rose Hotel up the road will be where I’ll be staying from now on! same price peaceful night sleep.

Transparent curtains that do not keep out light. No A/C. Window above the door is clear, so when the automatic lights come on and off during the night it wakes you up. DJ was blasting music on Friday night from 8 - 12. The whole building was vibrating. No sleep.

Staff were amazing just a room and a bed with balcony everyone could access room curtains see through 😧 then the 80’s night 🤨🥲 we were bouncy off the walls from the music till midnight 😖😖 so practically no sleep and no power points next to bed either will research better next time🧐

Historic hotel in the centre of Warwick

A Historic 100 year old hotel, with a large front verandah in a central location, close to a large shopping centre & supermarkets, Town Hall (with clock tower that rang out the hour every hour), cafes, hotels, etc. Comfortable bed with too fat pillows & a sometimes noisy A/C. No breakfasts, but a small communal lounge with a fridge & tea making. Lots of fireplaces in this hotel, which remained un-used even when the temp dropped below zero. Helpful staff & reasonably priced food.
