Nicely presented and clean room with a great view and complimentary wine and snacks for a bonus touch.
Also was offered a generous late check-out when requested.
Highly recommend.

Not as advertised , accommodation only is open
ALL SHUT permanently.
Nothing is here except accommodation in old upstairs pub rooms .
Room is fine, is typical old style pub accommodation.
Has updated ensuite, comfy bed .
A fridge and we had access to verandah for sea views .
Our room had separate small lounge and separate bedroom.
Spacious and with nothing here , very central to other places.
About a 3 min walk to Grosvenor Hotel.. which is great for food .
No air conditioning but an electric heater which works fine , it is July.
Good value accommodation, sadly nothing else here.

Downside:
Room was very dusty & tired
Hole in wall above the window had just been covered with tape.
Dissappointed that although advertised on both their website, list in room & booking.com that there was awesome food in their Resteraunt, when we arrived we were told the Resteraunt had permanently closed in May 2026, 3 months prior to our trip.

We were however very disappointed by the fact that the only thing open is the front door, reception and our room.
Contrary to what is advertised on any website and any booking site.. the bar, restaurant, cafe and live music is now permanently closed and has been since the end of April. This is only disclosed on walking through the front door.
The receptionist did disclose this on check in and gave us a bottle of wine, which was very kind, but we still feel that it is false advertising and that the company should be made to correct its advertising to reflect the true status of the Anchorage.
There are other dining options available close by, and we took advantage of that.
We were very happy with our accomodation and it is good value for your money.
