Best motel in Tocs

We always stay at Fairway Views when we go to Tocs. Chooka and Lori are great hosts. The motel rooms are always clean and tidy. The lawns are immaculate. If you enjoy golf and you are looking for comfort and convenience this is the place to stay. The golf course is close to your doorstep and club house and pro shop are only a short stroll away.

Thumbs up from the folks in Blue

Myself and five 4 workmates spent 7 night in the Boutique FWMI. 10 rooms in a wonderful setting. Immaculate grounds surround the beautifully maintained rooms.
As for the husband and wife owners - Lori and Stuart (Chooka), I think they broke the molds with those two. Wonderful hosts who can't do enough to ensure your have a terrific stay. Have a beer with Chooka and get him to relate his life's work history.
A great time was had by all. The Motel is a 5 min walk to the Tocumwal Golf club's 1st Tee (2 x 18 hole courses that are extremely nice to play). 5 min walk to the Clubs Restaurant. We dined there 10 nights in a row for a total of 40 meals and not a bad one in the lot. Barra in Panko breadcrumbs is a winner.

Not what we paid for - VERY disappointing

We booked this by phone specifically to make it clear that we needed a quiet room. They told us they had one room left, a family room we could have for the price of a double. We were grateful. On the night of our stay the managers went out. After settling in to our room we noticed a large group outside on the fairway. We had to close our curtains to maintain our privacy. (so no fairway views) The noise outside grew louder as the group was now sitting on the table directly outside our room partying. Loud singing, talking and drunken laughter - a good time for all - except us who were paying for peace and quiet. After putting up with over two hours of this, we rang the manager's mobile. They came home and moved the party up two doors along where the noise continued till 10pm. The female manager apologised but when my partner asked if we would still be charged in full, the male manager stormed off. The female manager said we had already been discounted on a superior room (even though we had closed off the other room). We had in fact been given the only room left, in the middle of a group/club booking where everybody else was there to have a party. We should have been given this information prior to the booking, and we would have gone elsewhere. We did not have a pleasant stay, hardly slept at all due to being upset, and left by daybreak. It would probably be a nice place under different circumstances, sadly this was not the case for us.

Really good

Small block of 10 units arranged around extensive grassed area. Building in excellent condition. Rooms spotlessly clean and plenty of space for a motel style. Very Quiet position away from main roads. Walk to golf course and clubhouse

GOLF GETAWAY

When we come to Tocumwal to play golf, we always stay at Fairway Views which is situated alongside the Tocumwal Golf Club. The rooms at the Inn are clean, very comfortable and spacious, containing a kitchenette and generous sized bathroom. What we particularly enjoy is the undercover verandah attached to the back of the motel. Each room is supplied with its own outdoor table and chairs at which we sit to enjoy a bbq and drinks following a day of golf. You need to watch for mischievous kookaburras which love BBQ's too. New owners Stuart and Lori are great hosts who are currently upgrading some facilities including a paved area for carparking outside the rooms. Walk out your back door, across the large grassed area of the mote, past the pool and you are on the golf course. Fantastic.
