Our family went to Sydney for a show at the Capitol Theatre. The hotel is next to it so it was good to be able to walk back after a late show and not to worry about driving.
We liked the clean room and its convenient location with lots of dining options. Parking is next door with discounted rate. Short walk to Darling Harbour.
The hotel only served continental breakfast but it was quite good for a light meal in the morning with fresh coffee.

The capital is close to everything we needed
Room was very clean, comfy bed ,staff was very helpful when we had questions . would stay again

I just think that the breakfast should have a bigger variety of products. To be honest l expected it richer!!!

Amazing location does not counter negatives.
Undoubtedly the Capital is in a very convenient location for shows, transport and restaurants. BUT: there were certainly negatives: no phone in the room to contact reception. Their suggestion, come down in the lift or find the hotel’s number and ring, work through the menu till you get reception.
Want to order a drink to the room? Scan the QR code, order from the menu then again provide your email address, post-code etc,etc, or ring reception ( following the previously mentioned process) and wait 25 minutes for delivery.
Want to watch free to air normal TV channels? Sorry we don’t have those. There are lots of foreign services to view. Or their solution? — on your own device, down load 9 Now, and 7 Plus etc, from the Ap Store, then scan the QR code on the TV to cast from your phone to the TV!!! How easy is that.
Bathroom: a shower screen that remain 20 cms off the ground so water spreads all over the bathroom floor— which is a bit unfortunate as there is nothing to put your clothes on so they get wet. Nor is there anywhere but the floor to put your toiletries. Even the toilet doesn’t have a lid.
The bed— beautifully comfortable. The pillows- not so. I have never seen bigger, more fully stuffed pillows- great for watching TV ( if you can) but not for trying to sleep. Surely 2 bigger and 2 smaller would cover most preferences.
No cupboards, only 2 hangers, one shower went from scalding to freezing,— I could go on.
Let me finish on some positives: I mentioned location, staff were very helpful and pleasant, breakfast while continental was very adequate and the room was clean and attractive.

First time staying at the Capitol, room was very good, comfortable bed and very clean, convenient location within walking distance to mist things in the city. Online and self serve check in was excellent
