Great location

Our stay was pleasant. The room was tidy, the bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The cafe downstairs sold excellent food at very reasonable prices and the $10 continental breakfast was good value. The best thing about the hotel is the location. So close to the train and light rail, it made sightseeing so easy.
The hotel is old and needs an upgrade and the smell in the lift was overpowering. However for the price, it was excellent value for money.

When requesting for a quiet room, please do not allocate a room, with an adjoining room. It does not work, as the rooms are not noise proof. The wall that divides the rooms does not stop the noise. Did not have a pleasant stay. Disappointing.

We live half the year in a tiny bus with no amenities aboard. This room is bigger with an ensuite, it's close to the station, food and coffee, transport...we love it! It's also economical (you can't take the Scot out of the girl) and we wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else.

Small outdated room not worth the high price

The one good thing about this hotel is the location. It is in walking distance to many decent restaurants and near hubs for city transport.
The rooms themselves are small, outdated, and marginally clean. The “smart tvs” cannot connect to the internet so streaming is off the table and the provided channels are limited. If you go on vacation to watch the news then perhaps you may find entertainment.
For the price requested the value does not match. Would not stay here again. If you are going to spend the money choose a nicer hotel in the CBD.

Great location and restaurant never fails to deliver great food.
Hotel in parts on some floors is looking a bit tired, but doesn’t detract from the other good points.
