Great location. Clean. Delicious food. Helpful and friendly staff.
I loved my stay at Rendevouz. I was in a room by myself, but part of a group tour.
PROS:
- This is a beautiful hotel. Super clean.
- Body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided in shower plus a few other necessities.
- Close to EVERYTHING. Close to trams and trains. Easy to get a taxi or ride share. Walkable to any type of food cuisine you would like. Easy to get across river as well.
- Breakfast was included in our room charge and I also ate dinner on my own at the hotel two nights. Food is delicious, especially the Prawn Linguine.
- Bedding was comfortable.
- Shout out to Tony who was so helpful in providing a map, recommending a Catholic Church for me to go to Mass and walked with me to point out a cafe nearby.
CONS:
- The bathroom in my room did not have a shower door and the opening faced the toilet. I am from the USA and we call this a “wet bath,” which I personally don’t like. I put pants on after a shower and floor was still wet, pants got wet. Not a deal breaker but fyi.
- I like to “unpack.” There is only drawer in the closet. With that said, I left personal items in the drawer :( which is on me.
NOTE: not pros or cons, just fyi
- Power to the room is activated by putting the room key in the switch.
- Bathroom door is a barn door and the switch is behind the door.
OVERALL: Highly recommend

Overnight stay at Rendezvous
Absolutely perfect for a stay in the CBD of Melbourne. Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent buffet breakfast and delightful restaurant and bar in house. Central to everything in Melbourne, directly opposite Flinders St Station, but no noise from trains.

Not great
Rendezvous is a beautiful old building that deserves to have good things said about it. It is in a great location and as mentioned before staff should be trained to not make guests feel uncomfortable because we went through a third party. There is alot of potential but not enough

Wonderful Stay, the only thing was we arrived early (2 hours) at 1.00pm from the airport and to enable us to get in to our room before 3 there was an additional charge of $50. This we didnt pay and waited until 3.00pm.
