Great service

Fantastic service and location with easy access to the highway and buses into the city. While the rooms were basic, they were clean, warm and quiet.

Great accommodation with great staff

We are regular users of the Argyle, with medical appointments or just getting away from the West coast. All the staff are fantastic, always greeted with a smile and very helpful.
The rooms are spotless and beds very comfortable.
I have mobility issues and any help I need is always there.
Great food venues close by, everything is within 5 minutes of driving time.

The Argyle is a comfortable motel conveniently located within walking distance of Nirth Hobart restaurant strip. The rooms are quiet with excellent facilities. Off street parking is available and the motel is reasonably priced.Have stayed here three times and can recommend it.

Not for people with mobility issues.

If I never mentioned to the staff when I booked that i need access for a disabled person I would have given more stars, but I did mention and was told that there will be no issue. Well this gentleman could get his walker through the front door of the room and that was about it. He had no way of accessing the bathroom with his walker as there was no room between bed and kitchenette. With the shower there was no room to place a shower chair so he was unable to shower.
Maybe the staff should be aware that just not having stairs to a room makes it accessible for disabled, there is a lot more too that and they may have to do a risk assessment to see if there are more barriers for people with mobility issues and if there is maybe mention that when booking is made.

This budget motel is great for a family stay. It had everything we needed and the lady at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. We'd stay again next time.
