Comfortable accomodation for a good price

The Coolangatta Sands Hotel is a gem on the Gold Coast! The staff are lovely and helpful, the pricing is very good, especially for the area and how close you are to the beach. The beds are comfortable (but bring ear plugs to fall asleep with as its next to a main road and a loud bar on saturdays), the whole place is clean, and there is a beautiful verandha that gets the sun most of the day. I recommend it for budget travellers!

Seniors meals $13

I have been here a many times. The Seniors Pork Belly was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Unfortunately today it was not as good. There was no crispy skin. But still I will be back to try again.
Love the view, I bring my toy poodle in a pram and sit outside. Staff are always friendly, great place all year round.

Nice Location

I like the homey ambience of this hostel. Friendly staff. Clean. Affordable. Best of all is its location which is walking distance to the beach. There is a kitchen where you can prepare your food. The only downside is the bar downstairs which can ve very noisy at night. Other than this, its perfect.

Very happy with our stay in queen room

The room is clean, had a comfortable bed with storage lockers. A door led out to a large verandah. Key card needed to access room and to access main door leading up to the accommodation level on first floor. The shared bathroom had lots of showers and toilets, we didn't use the shared kitchen or lounge. The meals were good and Jason at the bar made great cocktails and the reception staff were friendly. There was entertainment on the Saturday night. Location is great, near the beach and shops and restaurants nearby and affordable price.
