A handy location, short walk into town over the bridge. Small but cosy. Air Con worked very well. Room was very clean. Walk to a great coffee shop which has a really good breakfast. Staff very helpful.

Room was great for our needs however was very much in need of an 'up high' clean as there were a lot if spiders and spder webs in corners and along the cornice. Otherwise it was fine.

Good Value Budget Stay

We stayed at the Civic Motor Inn for one night and found it to offer good value for a budget motel. The room was comfortable—certainly not large, but perfectly adequate for a short stay—and it had all the standard facilities you’d expect. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and although breakfast wasn’t provided, there’s a café just down the road and a McDonald’s only a short drive away. The motel is about 1.4 km from the town centre, but it’s an easy and straightforward drive.
The main drawback was the bathroom. It was long but extremely narrow, making it impossible for two people to pass each other. You enter through a barn‑style door with a small hand basin directly in front, the toilet to the left, and the shower to the right. Moving from the toilet to the shower required opening the barn door just to get around the basin. Despite the awkward layout, the shower was clean and had plenty of hot water.
On the positive side, the Wi‑Fi was reliable with consistent bandwidth and no drop‑outs, and the check‑in/check‑out process was simple and efficient. Overall, it was a decent and good‑value option for a short stay.
