Excellent hotel, I do not recommend the restaurant

I spent the weekend at the hotel, they attended to us very well, the decor is very nice, clean, spacious rooms with a beautiful view. In the afternoon, we enjoyed some mate with alfajores from the bar that were very tasty and have options for those with celiac disease. We decided to stay for dinner since it was very cold, but unfortunately, we did not have a good experience; we ordered a milanesa with French fries and lamb tacos. The milanesa was just dry breading with a slice of meat that was overcooked (black), so we asked if they could change it, and the tacos... a 4 out of 10. We paid around $75 and had a bad meal. Fortunately, the breakfast the next morning was excellent, with fruits, eggs, breads, cakes, and natural orange juice.
Excellent hotel, highly recommended, except for the restaurant.

Charming, cosy hotel, staff very helpful and friendly. Beautiful view of the bay. Good breakfast buffet.

A very elegant and modern hotel, with very nice views. A bit further from the busy downtown. You can walk to some restaurants, but most likely will take a (cheap) taxi. The staff is very helpful. The buffet breakfast is very good. Dinner In the hotel was ok but lacked in presentation.

Super friendly and helpful staff on front desk and in restaurant. Excellent housekeeping clean and spacious quiet room. Good meals at dinner. Breakfast selection was a little limited though.

Don’t judge it by it’s cover, there’s a gem inside

If you look at the hotel from the road it looks pretty unprepossessing. More cell block than hotel. However when you go into the hotel it is tastefully done and spacious. The bedrooms are large, comfortable with great views. The real winner here are the staff. They are unbelievably welcoming, friendly and helpful whatever the hour. It’s a haven in not a particularly attractive town. The real attraction is the whales, sea lions and penguins. We did great whale spotting and saw more seals and sea lions than I’d ever seen.
