Autumn at Posada Suiza (S.M. del Monte)

It is a very peaceful place to rest well. The service is very cordial and diligent. They were kind enough to give us a premium room at the cost of a standard one. The room was beautiful, with very nice decor. With a balcony overlooking the outdoor pools. The half-board is worth it for the price and quality during winter days.
This is my second time there, and I noticed that the heated pool area could use a bit more maintenance and decor more in line with the style of the Posada. (The Buddhist statue they placed there has nothing to do with the style of the Posada). They lend bicycles that allow you to explore the path around the lagoon. (The bikes could use a bit of maintenance, but they are acceptable).
It is recommended for spending a few days of rest enjoying the Posada, the lagoon, and its surroundings.

Superlative service - PALMAS DE LA LAGUNA.

Excellence is the word that defines this new complex of Posada Suiza, where everything is focused on the comfort of the guest. It is unimaginable to think of a more suitable and warm attention from the reception staff. Luxury rooms for the Suites and total relaxation for the standard ones, a place designed for couples. Includes breakfast and an outdoor heated pool, bicycles, and kayaks, with the services of the Posada available a block away. Café menu, beverages, sweet and savory snacks for a light meal. Total pleasure to wrap oneself in excellent quality robes and towels, also applicable to toiletries. Safe and minibar. Very good price-quality ratio, promotions for cash payments. Could not be better.

It is a very small complex for the number of people it attracts. They have many rooms, both in the main part of the complex and across from it, but the common areas are small. E.g., the spa is an indoor pool of approx. 10 m x 3 m with only two bathrooms (one for men and one for women) with a capacity for 1 or 2 people maximum. There were approx. 100 people at the hotel over the weekend. It is impossible to go to the indoor pool and spend a relaxing time, which is what one looks for in a spa. The most spacious part of the hotel is the dining room, which is indeed very comfortable. The food included in the half-board is basic (simple ingredients: roast chicken, mashed potatoes, shepherd's pie; simple appetizers: soup, mini pizza, etc.). The desserts are delicious. Only 1 menu option per day. The Sunday barbecue is good; the best part is the dessert table. The hotel's decor is nice, but if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy a spa, this is not the right place. Bicycles in poor condition; the spa bathrooms were missing door handles and were always wet. Changing there (which was the only option) due to the distance from the rooms is a total inconvenience. There is an area for massages across the way, which is small, but it is fine. The massages are very good. We have wanted to visit the inn for a long time, but it is not the place we would choose to rest. In any case, the main attraction of Monte is the lagoon, and the small town that is approximately 40 minutes walking from the inn, so it is a nice option to get to know and explore just 1 and a half hours from CABA.
