A fine lodging close to the ferry terminal and to Costanera Sur

As a visiting birder, the only reason I was in the city of Buenos Aires was to go birding at the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, which is the best birding spot in the area. Hotel San Antonio is a ten-minute walk from the reserve. The hotel is comfortable and clean. It offers excellent value. The staff were helpful with my various questions, both times that I stayed there. The room was small, but quiet comfortable; breakfast was good. I would certainly stay there again on my next visit to Buenos Aires.

Better Staff Do Not Exist

The hotel is ideally situated for all the main attractions in the city, just 2 blocks from the main shopping street, Florida. It is a very simple hotel, very clean and tidy with no frills. Breakfast is basic, cereals, bread, croissants, ham, cheese, yoghurts, tea, coffee and fruit juices.
The best part of the hotel is the staff. Everyone but everyone were helpful when we required assistance, and could not have been more pleasant. Recommended.

Very satisfying!

Knowing that I would take the Manuel Tienda Leon bus service from Buenos Aires' airport to the center, I looked for a reasonable hotel that was within walking distance to Manuel Tienda Leon's terminal. That's how I chose Hotel San Antonio, an old but very pleasant accommodation option. The furniture and the equipments are old as well but everything makes the hotel a charming one.
I also liked the free buffet breakfast and the staff was very helpful and kind too.
In regards to the area, I found it safe enough and both in Calle Paraguay, Calle Reconquista and Calle San Martin are several restaurants and bars. In addition to that, the famous pedestrians' Calle Florida or the General San Martin metro station are very near while Plaza de Mayo, Av. 9 de Julio or Puerto Madero can be easily reached on foot.
I'm quite sure then that next time I go to Buenos Aires, I'll try to stay here again.

A very cosy hotel

I first visited hotel San Antonio in 1978 and it hasn't changed over the years. A simple hotel, clean rooms and a very gentle staff!
The Continental breakfast is well known bij frequent guests.
Book a room and take a shower....you'll be suprised :-D
Wi-Fi available at high speed!
The reception is like always very friendly and helpfull and will help you find special spots in town!

Quite acceptable

The hotel is conveniently located to move around Buenos Aires by all means of transport. Several bars and restaurants are around the corner to suit everybody's needs and tastes. Although a little outdated, could use some refurbishing, you get what you pay for. The offered breakfast had a reasonable selection to choose from. Staff were outstanding and very helpful. Would definitely consider returning in future.
