Highly recommended address in the center

Excellent location in the center of Oberstdorf.
The hotel uses the central location with beautiful outdoor seating and is also open to the public as a café and restaurant.
Underground parking in the house. Connection to the AllgäuWalserPass. First-class breakfast buffet with superb selection in excellent quality including current daily newspaper.
Very attentive, friendly and customer-oriented staff. Here the attitude to the guest is right, great!

Disappointed.

4 stars are too many, or they need polishing. We were blinded by the Onternet and the STARS. According to other tourists, the Hitel has worn off a lot. Too bad, but test it yourself and make your experiences

Vielen Dank für Ihren Besuch am Silvesterabend in unserem Café-Restaurant, wo Sie die letzten Stunden des Jahres mit uns verbracht haben. Wir bedauern sehr, das Ihnen der Abend offenbar nicht so gut gefallen hat, hoffen aber, das Sie, da Sie darüber kein Wort verlieren, mit der Speisenfolge glücklich waren. Eventuell können Sie sich ja mal zu einem Hotelaufenthalt entscheiden um unser Hotel mit seinen Leistungen auch mal kennen zu lernen. Darüber würden wir uns sehr freuen. Top location and breakfast – room condition unfortunately disappointing

The hotel is very centrally located, only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and right in the city centre. Opposite is a church, which makes the location additionally well orientable. The reception was extremely friendly and warm.
The breakfast is particularly positive: It is very extensive and varied. There is also the possibility to take a free lunch on the go, which is a great service. Unfortunately, vegans are not well looked after – there is margarine and jam. Breakfast service is extremely friendly and attentive; coffee, omelets or other requests are quickly brought to the table.
The double room is furnished in country style and offers enough space for two people. In addition, there is a comfortable sofa corner and a TV.
Disappointingly, however, there are clear deficiencies in the area of cleanliness and condition of the room. The mattresses are heavily sagged and apparently underlaid with a wooden board, which significantly impairs sleeping comfort. The curtains in the room are damaged and have holes. Molded joints and mold on ceilings and walls are visible in the bathroom. Shelves are dusty, yellowish edges and stains are found under the sink and at the toilet. The carpeting also shows black deposits at the edges, which leaves an overall unkempt impression. Conclusion:
Location, friendly staff and breakfast are clear pluses of this hotel. However, the condition of the rooms, especially the cleanliness and sleeping comfort, significantly cloud the overall impression. With a thorough renovation and better cleaning, the hotel would have great potential.

Es freut uns natürlich, das Sie unsere Mitarbeiter und Serviceleistungen so überzeugen konnten und somit unsere soft facts gut funktionieren. Um so betrübter sind wir, das wir in den hard facts nicht so gut punkten konnten. Wir werden uns dieser Kritikpunkte und Anregungen annehmen und danken Ihnen nochmals für diese Hinweise, wo wir uns deutlich verbessern können. Die Nachlässigkeit mit dem vom Vorgänger hinterlassenem Brett bitten wir ebenfalls zu entschuldigen. Wir verwenden überall mittelharte H3-Matratzen, manchmal ist es zu hart, dann legen wir einen Topper drauf, manchmal ist es zu weich, dann hilft ein Brett. So versuchen wir immer den Gästewünschen entgegen zu kommen. Wir werden weiter an uns und unserem Haus arbeiten und hoffen, dass Sie uns wohl gesonnen bleiben und würden uns über ein Wiedersehen sehr freuen. Ihr André Brandt und das Mohren-Ensemble

Good food, good food

We had dinner here, so this review only applies to the restaurant and not the hotel.
The service staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very good and the value for money fits here.
The seating in the beer garden is very comfortable
and invite you to linger.

Our first choice in Oberstdorf

The restaurant is our first choice in Oberstdorf. We have been coming to the hotel for years regularly for dinner and are always very satisfied. The food is of a very high quality and is cooked or cooked to the point. For example, on Friday the trout. The staff are friendly and qualified. You sit very comfortably.
