Great location and Customer Service

Great location for nature and skiing.
The couple that own and run the place are very friendly and customer-service-oriented.
The breakfast is GREAT! Great variety, including American-style bacon.
The bad: Typical hard European bed, and typically very small shower stall. The wifi wasn't readable in our room at the end.

Wonderful home base in Oberstdorf!

We spent 2 weeks here as part of a large group. The owners/managers were kind and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, the grounds were lovely, and the daily breakfast spread was delicious! They even adjusted the start time of breakfast when members of our group needed to be at business meetings early in the morning. The added value of the unlimited lift passes was fantastic, and we had a great time exploring the different peaks! We could easily walk into town each day for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. The quiet neighborhood allowed us to leave the windows open at night, since there was no air conditioning. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and grateful for all of the help and accommodation!

Great hotel with a good location for hiking

I stayed here 3 nights with a friend. We arrived late in the evening after reception was closed, but hotel staff was ver friendly and had put a key out for us, no problem getting in. Rooms are fine, clean and good. Our room also had a balcony, very nice. Breakfast was huge and delicious. There is a little garden, also nice. And the indoor swimming pool and sauna was also good, but the water could have been a bit warmer. Onl downside is that wifi is ONLY in the reception - please put up some more routers. All in all a pleasant stay, I would come here again.

Nice hotel with excellent staff

Super friendly and helpful staff! We stayed for three nights in the summer and got excellent tips on how to get around in Oberstdorf, and also lift cards for all the lifts were included in the hotel stay. The breakfast buffet and coffee was also very good.

Good Stay but Value Could be Better

We had a room in the building next door called "Kuhn's Alpenrose". The room was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was small and a larger person would have issues getting in and out of the shower. The breakfast was excellent. Good location, walking distance to town. Suggestions for improvement: overall the facility could use some upgrading, there was no shower gel or shampoo, WiFi was horrible. For a 3* hotel rather on the expensive side.
