Super

Was a very nice and relaxing holiday here. Great hotel and nice restaurant. Would definitely come back.
Can't say anything negative.
You can go hiking here or go to pullman city. Located on the state border of Thuringia and Lower Saxony.

Never again

Bathroom, shower no shampoo, soap holder in the shower not properly firm, toilet lid loose, beds much too soft. There is a lack of a new mattress here.
Breakfast rather below average. Staff totally overwhelmed and especially too few staff. Unlovingly laid tables.
Television also did not work. Spider webs on the balcony. No electrical outlets near the beds. Wellness area closed. Not enough towels. The whole hotel probably stopped in the GDR period. I'm still waiting for my receipt. I haven't seen anything like this yet and I travel a lot.

Another great motorcycle stop

I'd come from Pullman City just up the road. That's a weird place & I decided not to stop there, so Hasselfeld was a bonus. As with other places on this particular trip, I'd not had huge choice in where I stayed. Hasselfeld was no exception, I had tried another hotel on the outskirts of town down a dirt track, but it was shut so Zur Krone it was.
A gentleman greeted me as he walked down the stairs whilst I waited at reception, I thought he was a guest but it later transpired he's the owner. As a slightly dishevelled (but not intimidating) motorcyclist, I was welcomed without question. My room was compact but perfectly adequate & was big enough to spread out all my gear.
I ate in the restaurant (see separate review) & again for breakfast. This meal was punctuated by the wail of a massive siren, which was told to me as being the old nuclear warning siren. If tht's actuallt true or not I can't say, but it certainly sounded plausible & is enough to make your hair stand on end. It's now used as a fire siren & a couple of minutes later fire engines were tearing up the street heading out of town.
It's certainly a great place to stay, if you're in the area, put this on your map.

Vorsicht vor dieser Unterkunft! Die Chefin tritt ungepflegt und genauso unfreundlich auf. Bei Ankunft hatte sie behauptet, dass Expedia meine Vorauszahlung nicht weitergeleitet hätte, was im Nachhinein gelogen war. Ich musste vor Ort ein weiteres Mal bezahlen. Nach späterer Reklamation wurde ich wiederum auf unfreundliche Weise von ihr hingehalten. Im Mailverkehr wird man von ihr geduzt und absolut überheblich behandelt. Nie wieder buche ich diese Unterkunft und kann nur jeden davor warnen!

Gutes Frühstück, angenehmer Service

Nach dem Lesen der Bewertungen waren wir sehr skeptisch; jedoch war der Empfang freundlich und angenehm. Mein Einzelzimmer war ok; es lag leider zur Straßenseite und es war aufgrund von Motorrädern etwas laut.
Das Frühstück war vielfältig; auch hier war der Service zuvorkommend.
Das Restaurant war zwar geschlossen; wir bekamen aber einen Rat und alles hat gestimmt,
