Super Valentine's weekend

Very nice hotel. It is clean and lovingly decorated. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant and were surprised. We've never eaten sooo delicious.
Breakfast left nothing to be desired. The price is great 170 euros for a weekend incl. breakfast.
We will be back 100%

Excellent Italian coffee specialties

Our room was quite simple and cramped. In particular, some investment should be made in the bathroom. A lamp in the mirror was flickering strongly. The rubber seals on the shower were just hanging down in shreds. The counter surface where the sink was integrated was heavily chipped. There was only a blackout curtain in the room, but no sheer curtain, so there was a direct view from and into the building opposite. The staff was very friendly, however, especially the Italian lady behind the counter who was also responsible for breakfast. The breakfast was quite simple, the rolls just baked from frozen. There was, however, excellent, strong café crema and cappuccino. 81 EUR per night: OK.

Had 4 great days at hotel La Scala and delicious food in the restaurant, in short highly recommended!

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel for our 4th wedding anniversary.
Starting at the hotel:
- It was a spacious room, some think it is old classified, I think it is a bit Italian classified.
- Curtains were darkening.
- Toilet and shower were clean, shower had a good hard jet and nice hot water.
- There was a minibar (but we hardly ever use the minibar) and some chips which you could buy for a fee.
- The bed was spacious for 2 people and we slept well.
- The room was not noisy (despite the restaurant which was directly below).
- The room was clean.
- There was also a TV, with mostly German channels (but you don't go to a hotel for that I think).
- The room was cleaned every day.
- Breakfast is delicious, choice is limited but more than enough and really very fresh!
- The coffee is really delicious.
- Staff is very friendly and can speak both English / German and Italian.
- Price quality (we stayed 3 nights) is really neat in terms of proportion!
- Check-in and check-out is also neat, until 11:00 am the time to check out is more than sufficient.
- There are a number of places on the ground of the hotel where one can park, this is free, in addition there is plenty of parking along the road. which is also free.
- The hotel is in a good quiet neighborhood, which is also nice to know.
The restaurant:
- The restaurant looks neat and beautiful, real Italian restaurant.
- Plenty of choice on the menu.
- It's not the cheapest restaurant, but price quality is very definitely worth it to eat there.
- My wife even wanted to eat there twice and we did that.
- The staff is very friendly.
- The food we personally think is really good quality and the portions are very large.
I myself am a great food, but I didn't get everything, but really delicious!
There are 2 points of improvement in terms of hotel (that is personal)
1) It is very hot (in summer) and there is no air conditioning or fan, it is really too hot in the room.
After 1 night we had a waterbed of sweat (a small fan would make a big difference).
2) The pillow is very thin, but really too thin, that could also be a fuller pillow to lie on.
Overall had fantastic days and highly recommended:-D

Unbeatable price/performance

We were with 10 cyclists in the most beautiful stadium in Germany and stayed at La Scala afterwards. The beds were very good, the rooms and the entire hotel clean.
A more than sufficient breakfast has strengthened us for the return journey. Unbeatable was € 85,-- incl. breakfast the price for a double room.
Unfortunately we could not eat in the - seemingly- very good restaurant - for days fully booked

Very happy to come back.

Thank you for the very nice and great service. The room and cleanliness we liked very much. Breakfast was also to our complete satisfaction. We really enjoyed our stay with you very much and will certainly come back.
