Everything OK

Nice big room with almost equally big bathroom. Everything was clean and in good condition. The furnishings are unfortunately not the most modern but OK. What bothered me the most was the complete lack of power sockets. The only power socket was next to the entrance door, that was it. Otherwise there was everything you need as a traveler. Luggage rack, coat hooks, WiFi, fridge. The breakfast was also really tasty with lots of little highlights. Unfortunately only one type of bread roll, but otherwise great.
Price-wise, considering the location, OK, I think.

Outstanding breakfast for this category

The Hotel am Boltentor is a nice family-owned hotel 5 minutes away from the Emden city center. You can tell that it has been there for quite some time, but it has been properly maintained and everything is functional. What separates it from other 'fine but not special' places is clearly its very nice breakfast with fresh scrambled eggs, a good variety of cheese and cold cuts, different types of the local fish speciality 'matjes' and friendly staff. If you're not looking for some luxurious business room, this one absolutely got you covered well!

Very nice hotel, great service, breakfast and location

I had a great experience here, the staff was always amiable and the downtown is within walking distance. Breakfas is REALLY good, always fresh and on time; even the last day we were a bit late and they let us bring a few things in the room. HIGHLY recommendable.

Gut geführtes Hotel

Sehr schönes Hotel in laufnähe zur Innenstadtnähe. Große Zimmer mit großem Bad. Ausnahmslos nettes und freundliches Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit Liebe vorbereitet, insbesondere die kleinen Glasschälchen mit Schmankerln.

Zentrale Lage, alles Flussläufig erreichbar. „Check in“ schon um 12 Uhr möglich, Zimmer sauber und gemütlich.
Frühstück reichhaltig und mit guter Auswahl super, bei gutem Wetter sogar draußen möglich. Fahrradschuppen!
