Quietly located in the Grunewald district, it is an 8-minute drive from the Olympic Stadium. Decorated in neutral colours, the bright rooms at Seehotel Grunewald feature rich carpets and contemporary furniture.

Idyllic location
Idyllic location in the Grunewald directly on the Havel. Rooms have balconies with lake views. The rooms are very quiet; the decor is not new but appealing and clean. Unfortunately, they do not have a minibar or air conditioning, which would be really great in the summer (but there is a fan that you can set up). Fly screens ensure undisturbed sleep by mosquitoes. The shower has a decent water pressure and a well-functioning temperature control - this is often a problem with hotel showers, but everything fits here.
The staff is very friendly and helpful - among other things we got helpful tips for sightseeing in Berlin and also day tickets for public transport can be purchased at the reception.
The breakfast (buffet) is rich and really good. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace overlooking the Havel.
For trips to Berlin city centre, it is recommended to drive to the S-Bahn station Pichelsberg, there is free parking (but in the evening better check beforehand if a performance takes place at the Waldbühne, then it is difficult with the parking!). With the S-Bahn you are then quickly in the city. There's a bus too, but it doesn't run that often.
The parking spaces at the hotel are actually public parking spaces. During our stay, the parking lot was mostly raunchy, maybe that was because bathers and hikers also use the parking lot - so possibly in worse weather less of a problem.
We liked the stay at the Seehotel Grunewald well, can therefore recommend it - a nice accommodation where you can switch off after a day in the hustle and bustle of the big city!

beautiful location and great breakfast
Great location. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer and fall. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Typical pension breakfast with lots to choose from including a nice Expresso machine and a good variety of loose teas. Very quiet at night. Lots of hiking trails right there. The beds were a little stiff for my liking but I'd come back here again.

Not again
Location and staff very good. The rooms a bit dusty. When checking in: Curtain end torn from the rail, soap dispenser empty and the terrace not cleaned in a long time. There were seed stalls of the trees from last year, cigarette butts and a screwed-down broken and dirty table. There was a second one next to it. The latter was not fixed during our entire stay.
Breakfast is always the same, there is no variation. If you stay longer than 3 days it is very boring. Absolute dish waste: the divided cold cuts on the saucers in the refrigerator (1-3 slices). Dinner in glasses warmed up from the morning as there is no cook in the evening.

wir bedanken uns für ihren Besuch und Ihre Bewertung und bedauern, dass Sie sich nicht vollumfänglich wohl gefühlt haben.
Den Zustand des Zimmers bedauern wir sehr und geben dieses an die verantwortlichen Personen weiter. Zu den Terrassen/Balkonen möchten wir mitteilen, dass wir diese selbstverständlich regelmäßig reinigen, aufgrund unserer Waldlage allerdings nicht jede naturgegebene Beeinträchtigung vermeiden können. Natürlich betrifft dieses nicht Zigarettenreste oder den Tisch (der von uns mittlerweile entfernt wurde ). Dieses werden wir intern auswerten.
Unser Frühstück bietet für den Preise eine große Bandbreite an verschiedenen Speisen an, wir müssen hierbei natürlich Standard in der Auswahl einhalten um täglich ein identisches Niveau sicherzustellen. Der "absoluten Geschirrverschwendung" halten wir entgegen, dass wir mit der Variante die viel dramatischere Lebensmittelverschwendung deutlich reduziert haben und dennoch eine umfangreiche und hygienisch einwandfreie Präsentation sicherstellen, sehr flexibel nach Bedarf, als es bei einer Plattenpräsentation möglich ist.
Der medial breit ausdiskutierte Fachkräftemangel in der Gastronomie geht an uns leider auch nicht gänzlich spurlos vorbei, wir behandeln daher unsere hausgemachten Speisen im Weckverfahren und stellen somit eine Auswahl an gutbürgerlicher Küche mit qualitativ hochwertigen Produkten sicher. Die Alternative wäre eine Garni-Bewirtschaftung, die aufgrund unserer Lage keine wirklich gewinnbringende Option für unsere Gäste wäre. Wir bedauern, wenn wir Sie davon nicht haben überzeugen können.

Despite great location rather middling
The hotel has a charming location on the lake. The staff strives to the extent possible. Unfortunately, our room was much too heated, stuffy and smelled accordingly. In the outside temperatures and without air conditioning in the hotel certainly normal. However, before arrival and new occupancy at least the curtains could have been pulled back a bit as protection from the morning sun and the window could have been opened. So we - despite the fan that is in the room (!) - had no chance to air out the room. We left one night early so we could get some sleep again.

da die Anweisung besteht, bei wärmeren Tagen die Gardinen vorzuziehen.
Dennoch können wir natürlich an sehr heißen Tagen die Temperatur nur bedingt beeinflussen. Das Haus ist leider nicht mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet, wird allerdings auch nicht in den Servicebeschreibungen aufgeführt, sondern mit den genannten Ventilatoren.
Schade, dass wir Sie nicht von uns überzeugen konnten.
