I did not visit but poor customer service

It was my fault booking that hotel for attend the ITB Berlin 2020 ; the event was cancelled at the last minute given not chance to cancel the hotel only my flight ; I read in Linkedin that most of the hotels used for that event made and agreement with their customers , one action was to keep the booking for the next year but this hotel refused any deal , at least is that I was expecting .
The next year sure I will book very in advance other hotel close to to the ITB but sure will not be the Adam Hotel.

not good

first of all i take responsibility for booking this place.This is Not a hotel. it is a what they call a "pensione" i believe.
although rooms are not dirty, they are very small and furnished very basically and cheaply .breakfast is also very basic, bread rolls a small selection of cheese and cold meats, with boiled egg and hot dog type sausage. cereals and yoghurt .the only good point is location. s bahn from airport straight to charlletonborg and 1 min walk from station (take the left hand side exit)

ridiculous

guess you really get what you paid for,
wardrobe half-broken in the room,
the bathroom smells of smoke even though a sign outside it ironically states that smoking is forbidden inside,
they didn’t even bother to clean up room properly before our arrival - found a random inhaler in the bathroom,
WiFi basically non-existent,
a total of ONE plug socket in a 2-person room and even that one in the most inconvenient place possible...
I guess breakfast was ok thats the only positive,
absolute joke, this is beyond “budget”, it is just simply not adequate and truthful to the advertising...

Good hotel

Pros: Clean, centric, you get the keys to the front door, floor door, room door, therefore It´s quite independent, It has a metro station really close, and you can get food in the neighborhood, from currywurst to some more elaborated restaurants.
Cons: at the counter, I dealt with 3 different people at different times, one woman didn´t speak English and was kind of rude, the other 2 women weren´t that fluent in English, but they were more service oriented.
there is no elevator.

too much budget hotel

This is little bit too much budget hotel. We got very spacious room, but with just above istabul café. People were siting outside café whole night, chatting and smoking for both two nights. I presume they watch something inside, which will make you feel safer. Hotel has (letgo/craiglist) amenities. Everything is heavily used and f.e. our double bed has wheels without brakes attached. If you want to race around room in your bed, its just perfect! Area around will not give you particulary safe feeling, but you can park your car, so I think its just feeling. Reception has communication in english and german problem. It looks russian/bulgarian maybe. Bright side: Just around the corner is superb burger bar and around second corner is TKMaxx. Breakfast was not so bad, suprisingly. Bonus: I catched (most probably from here) some rash on my hand.
