Small and well-needed, a good hotel for business trips

Located in the city of Hai Phong, the hotel is easily accessible, yet small and necessary, and is also recommended for business trips.
There is a Banh Kua shop near the hotel and the market is close. Breakfast was also pretty good. There was also a little cafe on the lobby floor, and the welcome drink, iced tea, which we received with Accor status, was delicious.

Very average...only go there if you have no other option

We decided to book this hotel fro a couple of nights but wished we hadn't. The rooms need refurbishing, the dining area is impractical and the hotel is disjointed with some floors for apartments and some floors for the hotel. The hotel offers some nice views from the higher floors but that's about it.

From the USA. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel was nice. I wouldn’t say a 5 star like they do here. The Pool area needs to be updated. Service could be a little better for a 5 star hotel as well. Staff was nice. Needs a better bar in the hotel. Breakfast buffet was good. Couldn’t hear the busy traffic from the rooms which is a plus. I would stay here again and recommend but don’t expect the ritz Carlton.

I would have given 5 stars of not for the surprise check by immigration/police together with the hotel manager on 5/12. Worse is the immigration officer asking for my visa😲, don't they know Singaporean are visa free for 30 days?. This is my first time re encountering immigration check on my visit to Vietnam.

Lovely

Had a really nice stay at Mercure Hai Phong! The hotel is modern, clean, and has everything you need — spa, gym,louge and even a great rooftop pool.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent.
For the price, it’s definitely great value. I’d love to stay here again next time I visit Hai Phong!
