Cosy and Quaint Hotel
Warm reception, cosy hotel with the comforts of home. Free parking and just in front of the beach. We were given a room to watch sunrise and it was totally amazing!
Home cooked breakfast by a sweet old lady. She was so willing to cook more if we didn't have enough.
Everything was great except for the staircase. But there were 2 hunks that helped us with our luggages.

Super B&B at Taiwan's beautiful East Coast
After a business trip in Taipei, I spent 3 days in Hualien to check out Taiwan's amazing East Coast. Linne, the owner of Angel Inn, was super nice and spoke pretty good English. She picked me up from the train station and helped me to book a tour with a private guide in Taroko National Park. Breakfast was delicious and a combo of local Taiwanese food but also toast, marmalade, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs etc.
The B&B is close to the night market, the main shopping street and a great foot & body massage place. Angel Inn even offers free bikes! All in all great value for money. I would definitely recommend this lovely and friendly Inn. Hope to be back soon myself! Thanks for the amazing hospitality :)

Very Homey and Welcoming
This Minsu (Taiwanese BnB) is family run by Linne and her brother Ray and house dog named Banana. When you 1st walk in, you instantly feel the charm and homey atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a sea view room & a gift bag of famous local mochi. A hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, chicken filet, salad, and French bread w/ all sorts of spreads was served according to our touring schedule. On our 2nd morning we had an early morning Zhuili Old Trail hiking tour, Linne was so kind to pack a to-go breakfast of pastries & buns & coffee for us. Beds are firm (good for the back) and the sheets are so incredibly soft. Plenty of towels and toiletries, hairdryer provided. We stayed in the "bunny" room on the 2nd floor; dƩcor adds to the charm. The Inn has 4 floors and does not have elevators; Ray can help you w/ your luggage up the stairs.
We noticed in Hualien (as compared to Taipei) many small shops, restaurants donāt always have English names or signs. Linne spoke excellent English & was thoughtful to circle a map and translate the types of shops & restaurants that we might like to visit. She rec'd places to eat and told us where the nearby 7-11 and Watson's drugstore.
Location is key: right across street from the ocean; 10 min walk to Dongdamen Night Market and the city center ātriangle zoneā. We took a taxi from Hualien train stn to Angel Inn (~15mins; 150ntd). They have free bikes to ride on the ocean pathway or into town. We stayed 2 nights and toured the nearby Taroko Gorge National Park and hiked the Zhuliu Old Trail. We had a wonderful stay here due to the kindness & hospitality of the hosts; highly recommend and would love to return again.
Angel Innās name in Chinese translates to āAngel wears no shoesā, and we asked Linne where she got the inspiration for the Innās name. There is a lovely plaque w/ the saying displayed behind the check-in deskā¦āAngel always brings happiness to people quietly, you have to feel it with your heart. Cherish everything you have, or you may never find the happiness is coming to you even itās very close.ā

Beautiful b&b with wonderful host
Love everything in the b&b, the room is lovely and spacious, they provide all you need in the room and the bed is comfortable too! The host is extremely helpful and cheerful, she gave us many best recommendations so that we could have a wonderful holiday! Thanks!
