Pleasant

Friendly hotel, according to the expectation for a 3* hotel. Painted recently, giving it a pleasant air. The pool, although not large, is quite nice. The rooms are large, the beds are not very comfortable, but serves. The toilet is clean, but needed a refresh, the fact that there is no compartment for the shower becomes uncomfortable, because the toilet gets all wet. 10 min walk from the hotel there is a beach, Joy beach. Staff friendly but little speaking.

Worst hotel in Ao nang

The most terrible 5 stars hotels ever visited. The breakfast was disgusting, the rooms were smelling very bad, the AC had no regulaition, the seaside was dirty with almost no activities, the prices for extras was incomprehensible - you even have to pay for kids activities. Never coming back!

Faulty towers on acid

We arrived after travelling from koh tao for 6 hours, reception area run down and dirty, arrived to our room & the smell of urine instantly hit us,no tea or coffee available as advertised there was mould on the ceilings and the "natural" view advertised was actually a dumping ground out back, asked to change rooms was told they were full and to go somewhere else if we didn't want to stay, easier said than done new year with a child in tow, pool is tiny and the hotel allow people to let there dogs swim in it so that's a no go, changed rooms the next day to another run down but less smelly room, the place is in the middle of nowhere, no restaurants or shops anywhere and the hotel just informed me there's no laundry service as advertised either & when I asked where a launderette was the answer was "don't know" can't actually wait to leave

Great place to stay

We had a lovely 10 day stay here. Very relaxing, chilling out by the pool. Very clean room with tea/coffee making facilities and also a fridge, which was a real asset. We arrived here after having stayed in a right dump down the road. So relieved to see our room which boasted two large beds, a decent sized bathroom and a nice storage area for luggage once you had unpacked. Room had a tv but the channels were rubbish and what was there wasn’t really tuned in properly. I know you are possibly thinking ‘Who goes on holiday and watches tv?’ I do during mosquito hour as I suffer with bites. So I need to be inside for a while whilst they are at their worst. Air conditioning was marvellous and didn’t let us down. The pool area is lovely. Just lovely. There was a pump problem for a couple of days so we didn’t use it but the staff put in a great effort, once it was back up and running to ensure it was all clean again. The breakfast is good enough and is 150 baht daily if you haven’t booked it with your room. Free tea and coffee all day long. Free Tuk Tuk into Ao Nang and you make your own way back for 300 baht. There are a few restaurants near the Seashell as they only serve breakfast. Quite nice places to eat and also a 7/11 - all about ten minutes on foot, or less, depending on how fast you walk. You can buy beer, water and sandwich stuff in the 7/11 as you have a fridge in your room! They also sell a nice variety of pot noodle! So you can revert to your teenage years whilst you are there. The 7/11 has everything. There is also a pier there, running boat trips to the neighbouring islands. Railey beach is 100 baht each, each way on a long boat. Taxi to airport is 600 baht or there is an airport shuttle bus for 150 baht each. Ann on reception really is a little gem. She is always making sure you have what you need. The cleaning ladies are wonderful and will clean your room and change your sheets every day if you want. There is free water every day on site too. 1 bottle each is the rule but sometimes you can have another one. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Seashell. They are wonderful people and I thank them for making our stay so lovely.

Beautiful clean room

We arrived at Seashell before check in time. Our room was ready and we were able to take it over. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was huge with two double beds, plenty of hanging space, a kettle with tea & coffee, drinking water, and a mini fridge. The room was immaculately clean, good towels and spotless bedding and beautifully decorated. We were asked if we required housekeeping every day. This included a sheet change. Nothing was too much trouble. Anne in reception was particularly attentive, always checking we had enough drinks for the room. The pool was a real bonus. Unfortunately the pump broke during our stay but it was fixed in a couple of days. The pool was cleaned and it was back in use. There is a free tuk tuk service 3 times a day into Ao Nang. Then you pay your own tuk tuk back when you are ready 300bht. The resort is a little far out of town but that worked for us. A small selection of local Shops and restaurants are 10 min walking distance away. There is breakfast 150bht. Or I think free with some bookings. No restaurant for lunch or dinner on site. However there is a dinner menu, this then gets delivered. Wifi was intermittent, sometimes great sometimes impossible. I would love to go back
