A little far from the beach, but very clean and had nice windows. The manager was very friendly and helpful! Could hear a little noise from the mosque down the road but overall a quite pleasant stay and would totally recommend!

My friend and I each booked our own room, even though it wasn't necessary since the rooms were fairly spacious. Maybe that is because I had the deluxe room which also came with a balcony overlooking the "main" street. If you're a light sleeper, that may be an issue. But the balcony did have a nice view of the mountains.
My bed, even though big, it was actually made up of two separate beds and thus was uncomfortable since I kept on feeling the dip in the middle. Other than that, the room was fairly clean, the shower worked properly and we received bottled water.
The reason for the 3 stars then? I arrived to a super stuffy room so clearly I wanted to make sure the AC was running for the duration of my stay. However, the AC was controlled by your room key and they would only give you one key. Asked the front desk for an additional key to ensure AC works and let's just say it wasn't a friendly process.
Also, bear in mind that they don't have elevators and there are random cats running around. As others have mentioned, they are about a 20-minute walk to the beach access and the area where one would take a longboat to the Railay Beach.
Not a terrible experience, but not the friendliest either.

Very clean you can eat from the floor. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. I have stayed there 2 time in 5 years. It is 4 levels with NO elevator. Very basic but all you need.

Nice hotel

Loved this little hotel. Nice and clean, great view of the street and mountain. close enough to plenty of restaurants and bars. The beach is about a 20 minute walk but lots to see on the way so not a problem for us. 7/11 right across the street. Staff was very pleasant.

A gem of a find!

Myself and a friend stayed at De Loft for 4 nights in January whilst visiting Ao Nang. We arrived before check-in after a long bus journey and the manager couldn’t have been more helpful by getting the room prepared for us as soon as the previous guests had left. Our room was one of the Deluxe Rooms with a Balcony and I couldn’t recommend it enough - there was so much space for all of our luggage and the bed was huge! It also had all the amenities including a fridge, TV and safe. The maids came in every day and also provided two bottles of water which were much appreciated. As other people have mentioned, De Loft is about a 20 minute walk from the beachfront. We didn’t mind this at all as the restaurants are generally cheaper the further away from the beach you are and we got to try places we wouldn’t otherwise had passed. Overall, this is probably one of my favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed in and would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!
