Wonderful 3 On Roux

3 on Roux house is in perfect location , walkable to all restaurants & shopping. Lovely decorated and equipped, spotless clean room in quiet street with very comfortable bed! Just perfect.
Mercia was absolutely amazing host and very helpful with anything I needed for my stay as a single traveler.
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay in your house and I definitely recommend your place to all Franschoek visitors.

Home away from home

This place you can definitely call “home away from home”. Mercia is doing all her best to serve her guests as if they were her closest friends or relatives. The room itself (there’re two of them at this moment) is spotless clean, cosy and is equipped with everything you need. It is close to the Wine tram and to the very center, and as Franschoek is a safe town you can take an evening stroll back from the restaurant to Mercia’s house :) The car parking is at the street just opposite the house, and it is safe as well.
And one should not forget that you stay at this excellent place for the fair price especially compared to the most hotels in the town.
I love Franschoek and planning to return, not only because of the town itself but because of my wish to meet Mercia again.

What an amazing weekend at 3@Roux in Franschhoek

From the moment that we received our booking confirmation, the 5-star level of service excellence started, and continued until our departure on Sunday. The large rooms are luxuriously furnished and exceptionally clean and well appointed. Our host Mercia became an instant friend and this is truly a home from home experience! Our breakfast was scrumptious to say the least. 3@Roux is within walking distance of the centre of town. We will certainly return for another romantic weekend. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and appreciated.

Perfect Bed and Breakfast in a lovely town

We had the most perfect stay.... the location is great - just out of the main hustle but close enough to feel part of the town. Our hosts recommendations were absolutely spot on for what we were looking for - one large vineyard and gardens and a smaller, more intimate one. Our room was stunning, huge and everything was top quality. We hope one day to be back - thank you

Highly Recommended

Late review - I stayed one night in December 2017.
This review is based on my 10th SA visit encompassing a 38 night/21 property road trip, so is relatively objective.
Easily found within walking distance to the 'hub' of the village - i.e. it's quiet ! Parking is on street or driveway and seemed relatively secure.
Welcoming & friendly hosts, but not at all intrusive. The house itself is very comfortable with a spacious lounge area.
My bedroom was large and well equipped. A full 6ft King bed with excellent linen provided a very good nights sleep without the use of the aircon. The en suite bathroom room was adequate and well equipped rather than spacious.
Wifi was strong.
The two house dogs were friendly without being intrusive.
An adequate breakfast was cooked to order.
