Visit to Ella, Sri Lanka

Lovely and very well done up cottages. You feel the care taken in the rooms. The Mountain View is to be absorbed every morning, without fail.
The breakfast is personally prepared, very good taste and platter.
I personally liked the lady(property owner) takes so much interest in making guests comfortable. God bless!
You can see train from the balcony, climb to Ella rocks is etched.
Ella city rockkkkkkks.
Could have never imagined unless visited and stayed here.

Brilliant views, quiet and away from the tourists

A gem away from the tourist trap that is Ella. This is a lovely family owned site overlooking the hills of Ella. A spectacular view. The room was small, clean and adequate for our stay. The undercover balcony made this stay. We suggested a couple of small changes to the room - they were very receptive to our comments.
The family are typical of Sri Lankans - friendly, warm and so helpful.
An excellent Sri Lankan breakfast is provided each day. There is a fixed menu that changes daily.
A cafe and a restaurant are both within walking distance. Cafe Freedom just 5 minutes away offers cheap and highly recommended home cooking.

Beautiful stay

Charming couple run this place, made us feel so very welcome. The views are spectacular and cookery class amazing.

Ella stay

Cloudy Hill Resort is a great place to stay! The bedroom was very clean, and what you see in their pictures is exactly what you get. They provided coffee in the room and even a small fridge, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent, and the owner was incredibly kind — they truly went above and beyond to make everything perfect for their guests.
The only downside is that there’s no garden or outdoor area — it’s just the room, so there’s not much space to relax outside or take photos. I personally love taking pictures when I travel, and this place doesn’t offer much in that sense. It’s mainly just for comfortable accommodation.
Still, I really recommend this place for anyone looking for a clean, cozy stay in the area

Very good

Me and mine stayed here for 3 nights and last night we had cooking class together with the owner wife and food was so good
The couple who own the place are so nice and to the meeting aisle.
On the whole, it is a cozy place to stay.
