Very nice luxurious cosy hotel with nice wellness!
Beautiful big room with balcony. The background music in the hallway adds a nice calm atmosphere.
A complete wellness with the possibility to rent it for private. It is also possible to undergo various therapies and massages.
Nice restaurant with very good food and a big range of special wines and other liquors, also rare wines and liquors. The breakfast is very complete, a wide variety.
Very friendly staff!
We also visited Ringoland, it is very well put together and intereseting. Highly recommended to visit!

Pictures are beautiful but are misleading, the hotel is disappointing and faded glory!
- throughout the hotel there is a mufe smell due to the old carpeting and the not fresh smelling pool;
- there is a lot of overdue maintenance (stucco at the pool hangs loose, woodwork terrace is bad, carpet is bare, wallpaper is loose, paintwork bad, drying rack broken, refrigerator of room 304 does not work, Kneipp footbaths do not work, etc...);
- we got a different room than the one according to the photos on Booking.com namely the too small depressing room 304. This is rented out but is not shown anywhere!
- the staff walk around in regular clothes and look nothing like the well-dressed staff you expect in a 4-star hotel and what can be seen in the misleading photos on Booking.com. The same goes for the dishes in the pictures; there are none!! There is only a moderate breakfast. Furthermore, a daily changing dinner for which you can choose during breakfast. We have fortunately refrained from it and have eaten elsewhere and were extra happy because of this, after we experienced a hygiene incident at breakfast.

We had an apartment with 2 rooms and one room was never cleaned.The wellness area is nice but due to the opening hours we were not able to visit if very often (closes at 7).
I am travelling on a regular basis and usually stay >60 days a year in various Hotels. The service in the restaurant of Hotel Berg was the worst service I have ever experienced. Zero customer orientation and not very friendly at all. The most important thing is to do a reservation (restaurant was almost empty), doesn't matter if it is 5 minutes before you want to have dinner but anyhow you need it. When we arrived at the restaurant we were forced to decide if we want a starter or not. We didn't get time to review the menu first. When I decided for my main course the waiter told me that he wouldn't recommend it - so I took Pizza (but I wouldn't recommend it too).
Please do not ask for a drink when you are in wellness or atthe hotel bar! They have opening hours you do not see anywhere and those hours must be very precise timeslots because we were never able to get a drink (but there were 2 standing people behind the bar) ;)
The ladies at the massage and reception were friendly and helpful and the Lake Macha is a great location to spend some time and have fun. If I ever go there again I will definitely try Hotel Port.
