Peaceful
Just returned from a 3 night stay at the lenchford inn we booked a double room with queen bed it was very spacous and clean lovely decor tea and coffee facilities in our room also in the bathroom there was ladies sanitry items which was a lovely touch we had a balcony which was lovely as we enjoyed sitting watching the boat or ducks with our coffee morning and night the setting was perfect, we ate in the restaraunt plenty of choice and cooked to a great standard, staff were very friendly and attentive big shout out to Racheal who couldnt do enough for us the only gripe i would say is could do with more options for breakfast as its all cooked could maybe do continental but definatley stay again

Gorgeous place to eat and drink set in a magical location.
What a week or so it was. Started from Stourport on the River Severn,12th July on our narrowboat, to start our travels to Upton on Severn Blues festival.
First stop was the Lenchford Riverside inn near to Shawley, Idyllic location on the river with good mooring for our narrowboat Thomas.
Fabulous place to be, but even more so with great Sunday carvery and cool beer.
Emma who we got to know was excellent and nothing too much trouble which made our day.
Great week at Upton Blues festival, but what topped it all, was the return to the Lenchford riverside inn, Emma and the team smashed it again. Service and hospitality second to none.
Thank you Emma, we will be back soon, keep up the good work we appreciate great places to go.

Refused service
(This is just a review of the pub itself, not the food or accommodation)
This place looks lovely from the outside and friends who live nearby recommended it as a great little pub, so we were looking forward to our visit but....
We visited on a Sunday evening, at just after ten to eight. The pub was due to close at nine (according to their website) but even though it wasn't 8 o'clock yet we were refused service because apparently last orders had just been called.
We asked the server to query this with the manager - we only wanted a pint by the river, and we said we'd be as fast as we could. But no, the manager came out and said there was no flexibility here - and no real apology either.
Of course a landlord or landlady can refuse to serve someone if they're drunk or rowdy or likely to cause trouble, but we were 4 middle-aged types who just wanted a quiet, and quick, pint. If we'd come in eight minutes before the legal closing time then we wouldn't expect to get served. But we came in at a point when the pub was meant to be open for another hour: explaining that they had to close unexpectedly early and letting us have one round if we were quick would have been fine. Refusing to serve us when we only missed (arbitrary) last orders by two minutes, not so much.

Superb food with views !
Dropped by with the family for steak night on Friday and it was superb. I had the fillet and it was cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce was delicious too along with the lettuce wedge and blue cheese sauce. The portions are huge but it's the quality of food and service that really sets this place apart along with the most spectacular views of the Severn of course.

Midweek stay
Stayed 17th June, lovely views, big room and bed, even had more things on offer than top rated hotels, lots of different teas, oat milk as well. Ladies toiletries available in the room and in the toilets in the bar. Amazing breakfast, will definitely return. Thank you
