A nice, bright (double aspect windows) apartment in a very quiet close, on the edge of Cambridge.
Clean and fairly well appointed (fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, washing machine, iron and board). No hairdryer as far as I can see. TV and Virgin box. Comfortable bed (I do hate poor mattresses) was a blessing.
I'm sure that before booking it claimed to have parking, because I declined several other properties because they had no parking. However in the confirmation they stated that parking is on the street and is limited, which is due to the nature of modern estate design. However the location is at the very end of a close, there's no through traffic, and I was able to park right outside.
It's 3 or 4 miles to the centre of town, fairly easy drive for Cambridge. There's a very big Tesco within a mile, if needed.
Don't go there as a noisy late night group. I was solo, and was out until 11pm at the Corn Exchange to see a gig. I sat using my phone with the TV on at a moderate level (IMHO) but got some terse knocking on the wall or ceiling from below after midnight. It really wasn't loud, but I guess modern build often comes with limited sound insulation. Not a big deal for me, I wasn't going to be watching much longer anyway, but I imagine some groups of people might find that they have an issue.

This place is so over priced, I arrived to find no key in the safe lock, no answer from anybody I called to find out what was happening, 3/4 hr later I knocked on a neighbouring door to be given a key,, very rudely. On entering the premises it’s basic with nothing to make you feel home from home, although spring, the heating didn’t come on till 10 o’clock at night. There was no facilities for drinks, other than earl grey and sweeteners, no milk and the few things in the cupboards look like they’d been stolen from ikeas kitchen displays .. very disappointing and disgusted…. For the price… I’d highly avoid this place..

Dirty kitchen

Dirty kitchen, all washing up left from people
Before in dishwasher and oven.
Lots of dust in apartment
No toilet roll left
Really strong cooking smell in kitchen if greasy bacon and Grease over cooker top. Didn’t eat there because of this!
Sofa very dirty aswell
They did offer to come and clean it whilst we was there but said we was going out shortly so wanted to get ready as now needed to eat elsewhere.

Wasn't expecting any parking but found it easy to park in a visitor's bay, after checking with a local resident.
Nice to have tea, coffee & biscuits too. Thank you.
