Texel + van der Valk is top

Had 2 nice nights including good breakfast. Large comfortable room with nice view over the farmlands. Good beds and a nice renovated bathroom. Breakfast is always good! Only I missed the homemade waffle iron. And the fresh honey was pretty much gone. But this wasn't supposed to kill the fun. Texel is great and hugely affected with the weather. We will definitely be back!

Wat fijn om te lezen dat u twee fijne nachten bij ons heeft gehad en heeft genoten van het uitgebreide ontbijt, de ruime en comfortabele kamer met mooi uitzicht over de landerijen, de goede bedden en de gerenoveerde badkamer.
Ook uw feedback over het ontbijt waarderen wij zeer. Uw opmerkingen over het missen van het zelf wafelijzer en de bijna op zijnde verse honing nemen wij graag mee ter verbetering.
Daarnaast vinden wij het mooi om te lezen dat Texel u zo goed is bevallen en dat u heeft kunnen genieten van het prachtige weer. Nog fijner is het om te horen dat u aangeeft zeker terug te komen!

Overnight fine. Better skip dinner.

Hotel room fine. Breakfast also fine. Dinner I found very disappointing. Especially for the price what is being asked. We had asparagus soup which was very watery. You expect to come across a small piece of asparagus. For two people I think 10 fries and a minimal bowl of salad,

Allereerst hartelijk dank voor uw keuze voor Van der Valk Hotel Texel-De Koog. Daarnaast wil ik u bedanken voor het feit dat u de tijd en moeite heeft genomen om uw ervaringen met ons te delen.
Wij zijn blij om te lezen dat u te spreken was over de kwaliteit van onze kamers en het ontbijt. Wij betreuren het echter om te lezen dat uw ervaring met ons restaurant niet geheel aan uw verwachting heeft voldaan.
Wat betreft de aspergesoep kan ik mij goed voorstellen dat u daarin ook wat asperges als garnering verwacht. Dit zal ik intern bespreken zodat we dit in het vervolg anders kunnen doen. Het is mogelijk om kosteloos extra friet en salade te bestellen, echter serveren wij een in eerste instantie een standaard hoeveelheid, omdat wij zien dat wij anders erg veel eten weggooien wat zonde is. Als de standaard hoeveelheid voor u niet voldoende was, dan maken wij zoals gezegd met alle liefde (kosteloos) extra voor u klaar. Uiteraard is het wel aan ons om ook tijdens het diner navraag te doen of alles naar wens is en of u van alles voldoende heeft.

Nice hotel, but as a customer who might want to book an extra night I think it is a scam if you ask 50 euros more

We have been Friday 16-01'25 in a comfort plus room. Room was fine we also had morning breakfast where there was plenty to eat and variable. The only big flaw for us was that we maybe wanted an extra night and where we asked what that would cost for the exact same room. What surprised me then was the price. Just ff €50?- more than what the other night cost I thought that was outrageous. We decided to go to another hotel that does charge normal prices. Instead of ripping off your customers like that.

Van der Valk hotel / restaurant Texel De Koog

Price quality is missing, van der Valk unworthy of so-called culinary food, little bits and cut on side dishes in the context of sustainability!! Cod was a thin tailpiece very poorly prepared with a dollop of sauce. There are vegetables, yes 1 carrot and 1 floret of grilled cauliflower.
Highly recommended!! Culinary food does not suit van der Valk!
