Great value. Basic but clean and comfy.

Great value hotel. Basic but clean and comfy. They answered several questions over WhatsApp including resetting the internet for me. They also allowed us late check out on short notice which was a lifesaver. Would recommend for a night in Sandakan.

Never again!

Never again!
Recommendation: NO! I would not go there again. ONLY 2 points out of 5.

Amenities: * No lift, no pool, no breakfast. I had to carry my 35 kg suitcase myself up the staircase with 65 steps!!! Never again!
Negative:
1.) Small room and a tiny bathroom. Washbasin (sink) about 30 cm small!!!
2.) Windows didn`t close tightly!
3.) Just 1 poor staff who had to handle all 5 floors!!!
4.) 1 hour walking distance to the centre!
5.) No breakfast, no pool!
6.) No room service, so every evening the room and tip money was untouched! Very strange!
Positive:
1.) Cheap room-what you pay is what you get.
2.) Friendly (male) staff – just 1 person for the whole hotel!!!- very helpful, e.g. with taxi.
3.) Big panorama window with nice view!
4.) Electronic security gate!
5.) Free hot and cold water on the floor.

Great budget place. Very comfortable

This place was recommended by a guide for an overnight stay before my trip to Kinabatangan River. It was basic and cheap but very comfortable. Clean basic bathroom and while the reception seems unmanned they are very responsive on WhatsApp. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay in Sandakan. Thanks to the lady who assisted me in finding a dentist near by and making calls on my behalf. So very kind and helpful!
